Premier League Acca Tips: Picking Out The Value Across The Weekend

Club football is back and with that, Tom Winch has three Premier League acca tips at your disposal. It hasn’t been away for long, but the international breaks seem to go on for an age. We’re focusing on the Premier League action this weekend as we aim to get back to business with some winners.

We’re heading to the capital with our opening two selections at 15:00 on Saturday as Fulham hosts Luton whilst West Ham welcome Manchester City. Super Sunday sees Sean Dyche’s Everton face Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

Acca odds: 6.30

Odds via bet365 as at 10:00, 14th September 2023. Odds may now differ.

Fulham vs Luton: Both Sides To Oblige At Craven Cottage

England, Premier League Saturday, September 16th, 15:00 (UK)

Marco Silva’s side hosts Luton at Craven Cottage in the traditional 15:00 kick-off on Saturday in a clash where I expect an entertaining affair.

The home side has had a mediocre start, I think that’s fair to say. They’ve enjoyed two successful away days with a win at Everton and a 2-2 draw at the Emirates, but two heavy defeats against Brentford and Man City at home have shown that defensively, they’re able to be got at.

Everyone knew just how tough Luton would find life in the Premier League; Rob Edwards’ side has lost all three matches so far but has managed to find the back of the net at Brighton and against West Ham, who have started the season emphatically.

Fulham’s defensive statistics are the worst in the division. They’ve conceded 12.1xGA in their opening four matches. (2.73, 3.93, 3.20, 2.26)

Goals will be few and far between for the away side throughout the campaign. However, they should be confident arriving here. They’re priced as massive underdogs (5.50), which will be a consistent theme in each and every away day.

BTTS is trending at 1.87, a price that appeals. These two clubs have managed just a single clean sheet in their seven combined games this campaign. Goals look to be the best bet in the capital, with both sides contributing.

  • Selection: BTTS – Yes
  • Best Odds: 1.87
  • Bookmaker: Betfair
  • Stake: 7/10

West Ham vs Man City: League Leaders’ Quality Just Too Strong

England, Premier League Saturday, September 16th, 15:00 (UK)

Manchester City are the only side to have won all four of their Premier League games this campaign and now face David Moyes’ West Ham, who’ve also enjoyed a strong start.

I think we can all agree that Pep’s side is the best in the country, in fact, probably the world. They have lost a few key players in the summer but have replaced them remarkably well. There’s quality wherever you look within the squad, and it should prove to prevail in this clash.

Pep Guardiola has never lost against West Ham, and I can’t see this changing on Saturday. The Hammers have lost nine of their previous ten matches when playing reigning champions. They’ve conceded multiple times in all but one and are without a clean sheet in seven consecutive outings.

The visitors are best priced at 1.53 to win this game, a short price but clearly a fair one, given it’s Manchester City. The goal line is set at 3.0 on the Asian line, whilst BTTS is no bigger than 1.76.

I’m more than happy to get onside with the Manchester club. They went off at 1.36 in this fixture last season on the opening day. Of course, West Ham has improved a year on, but there’s a massive gulf in class between these two.

Just a single Premier League match at the London Stadium featured five or more goals in 22/23. It was a similar statistic for Man City on their travels; just three of their 19 away days saw over 4.5 goals cash.

Combining an away win with a limited amount of goals to be scored looks the best bet for this match. The proposed selection won on both occasions when these sides met last campaign. The boost from 1.53 to 1.91 is a significant jump in price and something I’m willing to back.

  • Selection: Man City & Under 4.5 Goals
  • Best Odds: 1.91
  • Bookmaker: Skybet
  • Stake: 7/10

Everton vs Arsenal: More Misery For Torrid Toffees

England, Premier League, Sunday, September 17th, 16:30 (UK)

Arsenal will have flashbacks of this clash. They lost 1-0 here last season in Sean Dyche’s first game as Everton boss. A James Tarkowski header and a Jordan Pickford card – it was written in the stars. Arteta will be desperate to put things right here on Super Sunday.

Everton have yet to win this season. It took until their fourth game of the season to score a goal. Their transfer window was uninspiring, to say the least, and they’ll be amongst a number of clubs in yet another relegation battle, I’m sure of it.

The Toffees earned 21 points at Goodison Park last season. No side scored less than their 16, and only Southampton (12) lost more at home than Everton’s ten defeats. Eight of those defeats featured four or fewer goals.

Arsenal have won against Forest, Palace and United so far this season, and each of those came with nervy moments. The Gunners looked to have the game wrapped up early on against Steve Cooper’s side, but they allowed Forest back into the game and could’ve easily dropped points. At Selhurst Park, they played with a man less for 30 minutes, and it took a 96th-minute goal to beat Man United.

This could quite easily be another game with fine margins. Everton’s fans will be more than up for this, and it’s just a matter of fact if the players can replicate that on the pitch.

It’s clear that Arsenal are the better side; they’re 1.55 to win this game, but as mentioned previously, Everton suffered the majority of defeats with a relatively low amount of goals. Both of their games here this season have ended 0-1.

  • Selection: Arsenal & Under 4.5 Goals
  • Best Odds: 1.90
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10
