WALES vs DENMARK ODDS TO PROGRESS ODDS ODDS PROBABILITY
WALES odds to progress 3.0 33.3%
DENMARK odds to progress 1.36 73.5%

Odds at bet365 as at 3pm 24th June 2021. Odds may now differ

Wales take on Denmark at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam. The Welsh beat the odds to qualify for the knockout stage. They pipped Switzerland and Turkey to second spot in Group A behind Italy. Denmark were in fourth before they kicked off on matchday 3. They finished second behind Belgium but ahead of Russia and Finland.

It’s the first time these sides have met since 2018. Denmark won both of their UEFA Nations League fixtures. Before then, it was a little more even. Wales and Denmark each won four of their eight meetings before those two fixtures.

Wales have made it this far for the second time in successive tournaments. The Welsh got to the semi finals at Euro 2016 which adds pressure. Denmark haven’t won a knockout match in this competition since they won the whole thing in 1992.

Denmark are the slight favourites to progress. You’ll get best odds of 1.40 for Kasper Hjulmand’s side to make it to the last eight. It’s odds of 3.0 for Wales to qualify for the quarters for the second successive tournament.

Italy vs Austria Odds

ITALY vs AUSTRIA ODDS TO PROGRESS ODDS ODDS PROBABILITY
ITALY odds to progress 1.20 83.3%
AUSTRIA odds to progress 4.33 23.1%

Odds at bet365 as at 3pm 24th June 2021. Odds may now differ

Italy and Austria face off at Wembley Stadium. The Azzurri have enjoyed a fine start to the tournament with maximum points and an airtight defence. They won all three matches in Group A without conceding a goal. Austria had a trickier time but got through Group C in second place. They lost to the Netherlands but beat North Macedonia and Ukraine to second.

The Azzurri will take confidence from their record against Austria. They’re unbeaten in their last 13 matches with them dating back to 1962. They’ve never met in this competition and haven’t faced off in a competitive match since the 1998 World Cup.

Italy are a regular sight in the knockout stage of this competition. They fell in the quarters in 2016 but finished runners-up in 2012. The Azzurri’s best finish was when they lifted this trophy in 1968. Austria are in uncharted water. They’ve never before made it to the knockout stage of this competition. This is their third appearance.

Roberto Mancini’s men are the big favourites to make the final eight. Italy are best odds of 1.22 to qualify for the quarter finals. Austria are the outsiders at 4.33 to reach the quarter finals of this competition for the first time.

The Netherlands and the Czech Republic head to the Puskas Arena in Budapest for this Round of 16 match. The Dutch were quietly efficient in the group stage. Frank De Boer’s side won all three matches in Group C and were the top scorers in the groups. The Czech Republic got through as one of the best third-placed sides. They got through a tricky Group D after a draw with Croatia and a win against Scotland.

These two sides haven’t met since qualifying for Euro 2016. They were together in qualifying Group A and the Czechs dominated. They won both matches against the Netherlands and topped the group. The Dutch exited after finishing fourth.

The Netherlands have a good record in this competition. They’ve reached the semi finals on five of their nine previous involvements at the Euros. The Czechs have only won one knockout match since the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. That was back in 2004 when they reached the semis.

The Netherlands are the favourites here. Frank de Boer’s men are 1.33 to qualify for the final eight. The Czech Republic are 3.25 to cause a big upset and qualify.

BELGIUM vs PORTUGAL ODDS TO PROGRESS ODDS ODDS PROBABILITY
BELGIUM odds to progress 1.75 57.1%
PORTUGAL odds to progress 2.0 50.0%

It’s one of the outstanding matches of the round of 16 as Belgium take on Portugal. These two sides head to La Cartuja in Seville for this eye-catching match. Belgium have impressed so far. They secured maximum points in Group B with wins against Russia, Denmark and Finland. Portugal got out of a tricky group in third place. They beat Hungary and drew with world champions France.

Portugal have the better record against Belgium in recent years. They won three of their four most recent meetings with the Red Devils. Belgium haven’t beaten Portugal since 1989. These sides have never before met at a major tournament.

Belgium have struggled in this competition for a long time. They reached the quarter finals in 2016, their best finish for almost 40 years. The Red Devils peaked when they finished runners-up in 1980. Portugal are the current holders. They made it to the semi finals in five of their previous seven appearances in this competition.

Belgium are the marginal favourites to break the historical trend and qualify. They are 1.75 to qualify while Portugal are out at a best price of 2.05.

CROATIA vs SPAIN ODDS TO PROGRESS ODDS ODDS PROBABILITY
CROATIA odds to progress 3.50 28.6%
SPAIN odds to progress 1.28 78.1%

Odds at bet365 as at 3pm 24th June 2021. Odds may now differ

Croatia and Spain face off at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen for a place in the quarter finals. These two sides have grown into the tournament. Croatia started slowly in Group D but a draw with the Czech Republic and a win against Scotland sealed second place. Spain drew with Sweden and Poland in Group E but exploded in their final match. The 5-0 win against Slovakia sealed second spot for Luis Enrique’s men.

This has become a regular fixture at the European Championships. Croatia and Spain met at Euro 2016 and Euro 2012. They also faced off twice in the Nations League in 2018. Both sides won two matches each but Spain secured a convincing 6-0 victory in 2018.

This is the fourth time that Croatia have reached the knockout stage of this competition. They haven’t won any of their previous three knockout matches. Spain certainly have. They won the competition twice in 2008 and 2012. They were eliminated at this stage back in 2016.

Croatia are the big outsiders with the bookies. They are 3.50 to qualify which represents good value. Spain are the big favourites to qualify at 1.28.

FRANCE vs SWITZERLAND ODDS TO PROGRESS ODDS ODDS PROBABILITY
FRANCE odds to progress 1.22 82.0%
SWITZERLAND odds to progress 4.0 25.0%

The favourites France take on Switzerland in this round of 16 match in Bucharest. Didier Deschamps’ men topped Group F after that 1-0 win against Germany on matchday 1. Draws against Hungary and Portugal secured top spot. Switzerland had a trickier time in Group A. They matched Wales for points but finished third after a heavy defeat to Italy on matchday 2.

These sides often meet at major tournaments. Four of their last six meetings came at either the European Championships or the World Cup. France haven’t lost any of them and beat the Swiss twice. The score was 0-0 when they last met at Euro 2016.

France hosted that year and made it all the way to the final. They lost to Portugal and last won this competition back in 2000. Switzerland are making only their second appearance in the knockout stage of this competition. They lost on penalties to Poland at this stage in 2016.

France are the big favourites to reach the quarters. They are just 1.22 to qualify in what is the most one-sided match with the bookies. Switzerland are out at 4.00 to qualify for the last eight.

ENGLAND vs GERMANY ODDS TO PROGRESS ODDS ODDS PROBABILITY
ENGLAND odds to progress 1.80 55.6%
GERMANY odds to progress 1.95 51.3%

Odds at bet365 as at 3pm 24th June 2021. Odds may now differ

England take on Germany in one of the standout matches of Euro 2021 so far. Wembley Stadium in London is the setting for this unmissable fixture. The English have played all three of their games on home soil. They beat the Czech Republic and Croatia to top Group D. Germany exited the group of death in second place. The win over Portugal and a draw with Hungary sealed second place behind France.

These old enemies haven’t met in a major tournament since the 2010 World Cup. Germany destroyed England 4-1 on their way to lifting the famous trophy. The last time they met in this competition was back in 2000. England won 1-0 in the group stage after a goal from Alan Shearer.

The English have a poor record in this competition. The semi-final appearance in 1996 was their joint-best finish. That tournament was the last time they won a knockout match at the Euros. Germany have dominated this competition. They’ve had nine semi-final appearances, been the finalists six times and lifted the trophy on three occasions.

But England are the slight favourites to go against history and win here. Gareth Southgate’s men are 1.80 to qualify for the quarters. It’s 1.95 for Germany to continue their excellent record against England and qualify here.

SWEDEN vs UKRAINE ODDS TO PROGRESS ODDS ODDS PROBABILITY
SWEDEN odds to progress 1.66 60.2%
UKRAINE odds to progress 2.10 47.6%

Few would have expected this knockout match. Sweden take on Ukraine at Hampden Park in Glasgow for a place in the quarter finals. Sweden beat the odds and finished above Spain in Group E. They drew with Luis Enrique’s men but sealed top spot with wins over Poland and Slovakia. Ukraine got through in third on three points after a 2-1 win against North Macedonia.

This will be only the fifth meeting between these two nations. Sweden and Ukraine last met in the opening match of Euro 2012. Co-hosts Ukraine won that match 2-1 after a brace from current manager Andriy Shevchenko.

One of these sides is going to have their best finish in this competition for decades. Sweden got to the semi-finals as hosts in 1992 but have made it out of the group stage once since then. Ukraine were eliminated at this stage in 2016. That was their best finish since the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

Sweden are the slight favourites to make the final eight. They are 1.66 to qualify for the quarter finals. Ukraine aren’t far behind at 2.10 to qualify.
