Internacional vs Bragantino Prediction 1: Hosts to run riot

Brazil, Brazil Serie A, Sunday, November 24th, 19:00 (UK)

Internacional are on track to win a space in the 2025 Copa Libertadores but they’ll want to make sure they finish in the top four, rather than six, and avoid the qualifiers in early February.

Yet with the best form in the league over the last 15 matches, Inter are unbeaten in 12 matches at home, winning eight of those as they’ve climbed quickly up the Serie A ladder.

Three of their last five wins at home have seen the hosts win by a two-goal margin in rather convincing fashion. Having only conceded 13 goals in 17 home games, they are amongst the best teams in the league from a defensive standpoint.

Captain and number 10 Alan Patrick is their most creative player in the middle of the park, who has scored seven goals and produced three assists in 20 league games this campaign.

In front of him, you’ll find Colombian international Rafael Borre, who has eight goals in 19 Serie A appearances. If Borre is replaced, on comes Ecuadorian forward Enner Valencia, who has scored several key goals this campaign from the bench.

Bragantino just can’t get going on the road. They haven’t won a league match since June, and they’ve only managed one goal in their last five away games (D2 L3). A new head coach has come in to potentially save them, but it might be a little too late, with those on the pitch lacking any kind of fight.

Defensively sound, and with a deadly attack, Inter are one of the best teams to watch in Brazil – in particular at home – and they can brush aside one of the worst travellers this weekend.

Internacional vs Bragantino Prediction 2: Poor form to continue

Although Internacional are expected to record a comfortable victory, it’s worth pointing out that they’ve achieved plenty of their wins this season thanks to their impressive defence. 

Inter head into this having collected three clean sheets from their last five matches, only conceding two penalties against Mineiro on the road and a handball decision that went against them vs Flamengo.

They haven’t conceded a goal from open play since their 2-2 away to Corinthians – a side that has the best home form in the last two months, losing just once in 2024.

Centre-back Vitao has been a rock at the back, which has led to numerous European clubs taking a closer look. On loan left-back Alexandro Bernabei has found a home in Brazil, who has also contributed with three goals and four assists. Inter are tough to break down, and these two are key reasons as to why.

And it’s goals that are the clear problem for Bragantino. Helinho (seven) was their top goalscorer before moving to Toluca, whereas striker Eduardo Sasha has had a poor campaign with just three. Highly-rated Thiago Borbas has been injured over the last few months, but even he has scored just a handful of goals – and he won’t be back in time for this match.

Combining Internacional’s strong defence with Bragantino’s blunt attack, the hosts can keep yet another clean sheet as they look to cement their top four chances.
