Leganes vs Barcelona Prediction: Team News and Lineups Preview
The La Liga leaders are in action on Saturday and so our expert Nathan Joyes has provided his Leganes vs Barcelona Best Bet, team news, lineups and fixtures preview.
Leganes head into this match on the back of three consecutive defeats that have put them into the bottom three once more. Having just one of their last five at home, (Getafe 1-0), the hosts will be hoping for a miracle in order to edge towards safety.
Barcelona are now 22 matches unbeaten after their 1-1 draw with Betis, but having lost the reverse fixture, Hansi Flick will be taking no chances this weekend as they look to maintain their four point gap with Real Madrid at the top of the tree.
Leganes vs Barcelona Prediction: Redemption for the visitors
Spain, La Liga, Saturday, April 12th, 20:00 (UK)
After 30 matches, the La Liga title is Barcelona’s to lose. Sitting four points clear of Real Madrid, and unbeaten in 22 games across all competitions, Hansi Flick has done an impressive job to keep his team so consistent.
Not only have they been consistent, but the table toppers have scored an impressive 83 goals – of which 42 have come on their travels. They would have been disappointed to drop two points against Betis last weekend, but as one of the most in-form teams in La Liga, it won’t be a game to define their season.
That draw ended a run of five La Liga wins in a row, where Barcelona won all of them by at least two goals, including a 4-2 victory against Atletico Madrid away from home. No one can deny that Flick’s team have been the best in Spain over the course of the campaign.
The same can’t be said for Leganes. They’ve huffed and puffed but are running out of steam as they bid to avoid relegation. Having lost four of their last five – and won just one of their last 10 – it’s all falling apart at the wrong time for Borja Jimenez’s team.
Their iconic 1-0 win against Barcelona back in December could count for nothing by next month.
But it’s not been entirely doom and gloom. Their last two matches against Betis and Real Madrid ended up 3-2 defeats. However, it’s worth noting that despite taking the lead in both of those games, Leganes crumbled and this has been a huge factor in why they are in the relegation zone.
Barcelona have won their last seven away games, where they’ve scored at least four goals in four of those matches. With the title on the line, and having lost to Leganes at home, Flick won’t be taking this fixture lightly.
And keeping Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha quiet, who have scored 38 goals between them in the league, won’t be easy. Barcelona are a short price to return to winning ways, but considering how prolific they have been on their travels, their Asian Handicap line looks to be rather inviting.

Leganes vs Barcelona Injuries, Team News and Possible Lineups
If Leganes are to get anything out of the match, they will be relying on forward Dani Raba who has six La Liga goals in 21 matches. After scoring a brace against Betis, he returned to the scoresheet against Real Madrid, and heads into this in fine form.
Diego Garcia returned from injury and also scored against Real Madrid, who’ll be prepped and ready to lead the line once more.
Barcelona are set to welcome back Raphinha to the starting XI having been rested against Betis with Ferran Tores likely to be the one to miss out. Gavi, who scored the opening goal in that match, was Barcelona’s best player on the night and the 20-year-old can be rewarded with another start.
Leganes possible starting lineup:
Dmitrovic; Hernandez, Nastasic, Poirrier, Rosier, Tapia, Neyou, Rodriguez, Raba, Cruz, Garcia
Barcelona possible starting lineup:
