Anca Todoni vs Gabriela Ce Expert Tip
Odds as at 2:30 am UK Time on November 22nd, 2023. Odds may now differ.
This is a classic example of two players on total opposite career trajectories at its finest. While Ce has been awful all season and dropped outside of the world’s top-400, Todoni has been on the ascent at 19 years old and can take what would be an already career-high ranking and push it even higher with a win in this one.
Ce has almost nothing left to her game at 30 years old and is in the main draw thanks to a wild card as a Brazilian player and only reached the second round via retirement.
With the lack of weapons and pretty poor form of Ce, I have this total set in the 18.5 or 19-game range. At 1.95, I’m seeing enough of an edge to place a bet.

Anca Todoni Recent Form
As I alluded to above, Todoni’s form this year has been pretty strong. She’s started from the bottom and built her ranking in a way that has required a higher volume of matches, but she’s made it work.
She’s done just that, racking up 50 wins on the clay and another half dozen on hard courts at the start of the year.
She’s racked up a quartet of titles along the way, with half of them coming at the W15 level – the lowest level on the professional circuit – and the other two at the W25 level.
Her first chance of the season to play at the 125K level resulted in a quarterfinal appearance on home soil in Bucharest, while this week has seen her pick up two lopsided wins between qualifying and the first round. They were both against much better players than Ce to boot.
With her being able to post her fair share of one-sided sets and Ce equally as susceptible to losing them, it’s an ideal spot to back the under.
Gabriela Ce Recent Form
What is there to say about the 30-year-old? She’s won just three matches in several months and while some of her losses haven’t been completely one-sided affairs, it’s worth remembering they’ve still come against opposition that should be beating outright.
Even her win to reach this stage was due to a retirement in a match that she trailed 3-6, 1-3 in.
Not only has the form regressed, but the game has as well, with Ce leaving you wondering how exactly she wins points at times, I wouldn’t be surprised to see her retiring from the sport in the near future.
Anca Todoni vs Gabriela Ce H2H – Stat of the Match
No previous encounters between these two, with Todoni still only being 19 years old and Ce seemingly nearing the end of her career.
Hard to break down much data either, with Ce having played at so few tournaments that would keep track of many statistics.
The fact that she’s won just three matches since July though is pretty indicative of how poor she’s been.
