It was a wild game on Saturday, as the Knights seemingly had the game in hand carrying a 4 – 1 lead to the third period. The Winnipeg crowd put the Jets on their shoulders for the final regulation time frame as the game went from 4 – 1 to 4 – 4 headed for the extra frame.
One overtime period was simply not enough, but the Knights ended the proceedings early in the second overtime in just over 3 minutes. Michal Amadio scored his first goal of the post-season with a slap shot that left the Jets crowd deflated after mounting such an effort to force the extra time, while he also threw his body around delivering 5 hits with an assist to boot.
Jack Eichel earned the number 1 star of the game tallying a brace while scoring the 2nd and 3rd goals for the Knights in the game while also dishing out the main assist that gave Vegas the 4 – 1 lead in the second period.
The fact that both teams scored in the first period, 2 – 1, has me hoping they will do that again so we can cash a ticket in 20 minutes and let the rest of the game play out from there. I do think they will not just settle for a 2 – 1 game and this total is also a strong lean since the line setters are offering the straight 6 at plus money. I see 2.05 at most major books for the Over 6 goals with OT included, and I believe the scoring will start early and just continue from there.
