St. Louis Blues vs Edmonton Oilers Best Bet: Blues Back on Home Ice
St. Louis Blues vs Edmonton Oilers Best Bet: Wednesday, October 26th
The St. Louis Blues return home for the first time since their opening game of the campaign, but it will be a short stay because they’ll head to Nashville for tomorrow night’s game. It’s the first of a back-to-back for both teams, as Edmonton will leave St. Louis for Chicago and lace them up in short order themselves.

Both teams will pack up their gear and hit the road after this game, and the line setters are offering an even money line for which team comes away with two points. Luckily, I am here to point us in the right direction, and boy, did we escape with a push on Monday that we will certainly take. I have never met a push I didn’t like, but we won’t be in a position to push this play when you get it.
I see 1.91 for either side to win on the Moneyline, and at home, I have the Blue Notes and Binnington to rely on to help us earn this cash tonight. First of all, the Blues lost their last game to snap their 3 – 0 run to open the season, but you did notice that there was no sign of Jordan Binnington between the pipes for St. Louis last time out.
Thomas Griess made his first start of the 2022-23 campaign against Winnipeg on Monday night, and on top of allowing 3 goals, he got no help from his offense. An empty net goal left the Blues with a 4 – 0 loss to the Jets, but Binnington will be back in the net from all indications.
Jordan Binnington and Jack Campbell are being shown as the expected goalie matchup for this affair, and Campbell’s 3.62 GAA sure needs to be a number that comes down if he plans on continuing this run of starts. Campbell has started all 5 games for Edmonton thus far, and he already knows what feels like to lose to St. Louis.
The Blues came away with a 2 – 0 win just last week against the Oilers in Edmonton, so returning home doesn’t make me think Edmonton has a better chance to win the damn hockey game. Home ice was simply not worth a thing in the first meeting and I don’t think St. Louis will give points back to the Oilers on Wednesday.
Since the loss to the Blues, Edmonton responded with a 6 – 3 win over Pittsburgh on Monday night at home, and I caught that game on the NHL network. The guys were talking before the match comparing Crosby and Malkin vs. Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid, which duo bring more to the table.
Kevin Weekes and both of his counterparts chose the Oilers contingency and sure enough, they came away with the win, 6 – 3. Comparing the duos is all fine and good, but I need rings on my hand, and last I checked? Well, you know the rest!
St. Louis Blues vs Edmonton Oilers Best Bet
With Binnington expected back in the net at home, I will take his 3 – 0 record and a win against the Oilers already in his pocket this year. At 1.95, if the line setters want to tell me if I pick the winner of the game I get paid, then so be it!
