Seattle Kraken vs Dallas Stars Best Bet: So We Meet Again
Seattle Kraken vs Dallas Stars Best Bet: Monday, March 13th
The Dallas Stars will take on the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena for the second time in three days. The Stars earned a 4 – 3 win in overtime on Saturday in this building and the two teams remain here for another clash on Monday as the Stars are in the midst of a 5-game road trip.
Our resident pucks pundit Ej Garr expects a similar result to take place tonight, and in classic Ej fashion, he has found another plus-money offer for our readers to take advantage of.

So we meet again! It is not very often that two teams play back-to-back games in the same building, but that’s what we have tonight when Seattle and Dallas take the Climate Pledge Arena ice. The Kraken have lost their last two outings and they have blown a 3rd period lead on both occasions, this coming after a nice 5-game win streak to keep their playoff chances in check.
The Kraken is in a great position with 81 points to earn their first playoff birth in franchise history, but these last stretch of games are going to be vital to secure a post-season appearance. Giving up third-period leads is not a good sign for a team that needs every point it can get even if there is some distance from the teams behind them.
Seattle is 10 points clear of Nashville and Calgary who are stuck on 71 points going into Sunday’s action, Both the Flames and Predators won their Sunday night games so that lead was shrunk to 8 points. Minnesota blew an opportunity to take 2 points from Arizona on Sunday night, but they did earn a point from the overtime loss. That shrinks the Dallas lead in the Division table to a single point which makes this game even larger.
The Kraken almost pulled off an impressive comeback against Ottawa the other night, going down 3 – 0 before blasting back to take a 4 – 3 lead early in the third period. However, the comeback story was put to rest when Ottawa scored twice to leave Seattle without a point from the match. Similarly, on Saturday, Dallas carried a 2 – 1 lead into the third period, and the Kraken scored twice in 6 minutes leaving Dallas only 3 minutes and change to mount their own comeback. Joe Pavelski leveled the game at 3 – 3 with just over a minute left in regulation time and Miro Heiskanen slammed home the game-winner for Dallas in the extra frame.
Meanwhile, the Stars have managed to keep their first-place status in the Central Division table in check, although that lead is down to only two points over Minnesota. Dallas will stay away from home for three more games before returning home on March 21 to play the Kraken again.
Overall, these two teams have only met four times since Seattle joined the NHL, and Dallas holds a 3 – 1 edge in the series.
It looks as if we will have the same goalie matchup as we did on Saturday, as both Jake Oettinger and Phil Grubauer are listed as the probable netminders for this game. Grubauer’s only shutout of the campaign happened way back on day 2 of the regular season against Vegas, and I don’t think he’ll have a chance of keeping Dallas out of the net early and often in this contest.
I am turning to one of my new favourite offers from Marathon for two reasons. First of all, the 2.32 odds are right in my wheelhouse and I expect Dallas to win this game whether it takes an extra session or a shootout.
