The Pittsburgh Penguins are struggling to score goals of late, but all of that will be fixed with only two words in mind. John Gibson! I know you enjoyed my Friday offer at 2.93 fading Gibson in the first period on Friday, and here we are again with another sweet line to take advantage of when it happens again on Monday.

Can I say the Penguins are about to fall apart, yet offer this bet today? Yes, I can do that because Anaheim is in town and scoring goals on the Ducks is about as easy an order to fill as we can find. On Friday, Gibby gave up 3 first-period goals on Friday night, and I suspect we will see a similar result tonight even though the Penguins have played terrible hockey lately. I am telling you this right now, and I am not even kidding. If the Penguins play any team above .500 for the rest of the season, I am going to fade them every time because they stink!

Shutting down the Crosby line with Jake Guentzel is all you need to do to shut down the Penguins, period, end of the story. I think the Penguins are about to choke themselves out of the playoff picture altogether soon enough, but that is another story I will get into later during the campaign.

For now, it’s about tonight and how bad the Ducks are playing, and the fact that John Gibson is a clueless man who should be bagging groceries at Walmart! How the Ducks are continuing to let him just get torched night after night tells me that they have given up on the season. With just 28 points, the Ducks are 6 points back on San Jose taking up rental space in the Pacific Division table.

And how about those rankings? I know people think numbers and stats are worth reading, but you know me by now and I could care less. The Ducks are ranked 32nd in the NHL rankings with goals per game (2.3), power play percentage (15.2%), goals allowed per game (4.2), and shots surrendered per game (38.8). There are 32 teams in the NHL, by the way.

The Penguins can only beat bad teams, and this is certainly one of those spots. The line setters clearly think so listing the home team with more juice than anyone should care to play. The odds for Pittsburgh to win in regulation are disgustingly high at 1.58, and the Moneyline? Oh, stop it!
