NHL Picks for Tuesday, October 24: 6.04 3-Leg Parlay for Tuesday
It’s to lace up the skates and take the ice, and Ej has a 3-leg parlay from the big slate of games posted for Tuesday night in the NHL. Goals, goals, and more goals are expected to be found from a trio of matches that all start later in the evening in the States. From Winnipeg to Nashville and onto Minnesota we go to find the gems for the night, and a lovely 6.04 offer makes the board for Tuesday night.
- Winnipeg Jets vs St. Louis Blues Over 6 Goals
- Minnesota Wild vs Edmonton Oilers Over 6.5 Goals
- Nashville Predators vs Vancouver Canucks Over 6 Goals
Tuesday Night NHL Parlay Odds: 6.04

WINNIPEG JETS VS ST. LOUIS BLUES: EXPECT LAMPS TO BE LIT
This line will be posted at O/U 6.5 when you see this article on Tuesday morning, but I am buying it down to 1.89 because I would rather be in a position to push our first bet of tonight’s 3-leg NHL parlay. The line setters are posting a 2.15 on the Over 6.5, however, so while the price is nice I still think we can hang with the straight 6 in this case.
First of all 1.89 is not so full of juice to begin with, but when we use it in this 3-leg parlay with the other two totals we are getting 6.04 odds! Hi, my name is Ej Garr and I love two words… Plus Money!
I love plus money lines regardless, and I do recognize that we will need 7 goals to cash the ticket outright anyway if we play the 6 on its own. Do you know when you get those gut feelings that just tell you why you need to salvage a push if the price isn’t stupid enough to shy away from it?
I am getting that feeling that we might see a 4 – 2 game in Winnipeg, and I do hope I am wrong in the sense that they don’t stop there. I mean I would love to see 3 – 3 in the first damn period, HA!
It just happened in the Blues’ last game, in fact. A 4 – 2 win for the Blues over the Penguins, and the Jets have already hit four of their first five totals Over to start the new season. If expecting goals is wrong then I don’t want to be right! Wait, I do want to be right, and I think we will be in a better spot with the straight 6 over at 1.89.
MINNESOTA WILD VS EDMONTON OILERS: WILD WILL GO WILD AT HOME
Conor McDavid is out for at least the next month of the season for the Oilers, and that is simply not good news for Edmonton fans. Who it is good for is us, and I think this Wild team is about to go exactly that at home on Tuesday night.
The Oilers are already in trouble out of the gate with only 3 points from their first five games of the new season, and now they lose an unquestioned leader in the locker room and more importantly, on the ice.
The Oilers’ defense ranks 28th in the NHL allowing 4 goals per game thus far, and I expect the Wild to score those and then some on Tuesday night at home. Anyone watching Wild hockey games lately is enjoying more goal-scoring than you can shake a hockey stick at! Minnesota has already played 3 games that have seen 9, 10, and 11 goals scored in them, and despite the absence of MacDavid toward the total, I don’t think we’ll need him tonight.
The Minnesota offense has been hitting on all cylinders and they are catching an Oilers team that gave up 12 goals to Vancouver in two games against them, and the Flyers also poured 4 goals into the Oilers net the other night.
All I can see here is a 5 – 2 win for the Wild, so take that -1.5 handicap on the home team and enjoy the hell out of that line! You want plus-money? Hey you, I asked you a question! Yeah you do, so you can opt for the Wild Team Total Over, the Wild -1.5 Handicap, but put this Over 6.5 in your 3-leg combo at 1.87.
NASHVILLE PREDATORS VS VANCOUVER CANUCKS: BUYING THE TOTAL DOWN TO 6
This is another position where Bet365 is leaving us enough room to bring this Over down to a straight 6 instead of the 6.5. At 1.85, when we use this in our 3-leg parlay we are snapping off this 6.04 combo, and I probably wouldn’t play it on its own.
I am not one to suggest tips with juice past 1.87 for any bet I post here at Bettingexpert because I still have yet to do it as a single. In a combo, however, that is why I bought down the total on the 6 in my first game above so let’s do it again here in the Music City on Tuesday night.
The Nucks just unloaded 5 goals on the Panthers in their last skate, and I watched the 4 – 3 game with the Lightning the game previous. Vancouver still looks like the same team they were a season ago, even though it drives Coach Rock Tocchet nuts. If you recall any of my articles last year, I constantly picked on the Vancouver defense because even when they address it to the point that Tocchet has, it still hasn’t changed anything.
I am not even remotely going to stop playing Canucks totals until I see an actual change on the defensive side of the ice. I don’t think that the Preds will struggle to put pucks behind Thatcher Demko on Tuesday night at home. Of course, I wanted my Rangers to get thumped by this Preds squad last Thursday night, and Nashville broke out another 5 goals against San Jose this past Saturday night.
I see this as a 5 – 4 type of game with goals to spare, so if you play the total on it play the Over 6.5 with included. When you use this total in the 3-leg parlay, slide the total down to the straight 6 and pay the marginal 1.85 juice for it.
Again, this is why I hope everyone reads through my articles because I like to suggest secondary and other options to people where there is money to be made! I am the Rainmaker for a reason!
