NHL Parlay Picks for Tuesday, October 17: 7.11 Parlay for Tuesday
IMAGO / USA TODAY Network Montreal Canadiens defenseman Mike Matheson (8) plays the puck and Chicago Blackhawks forward Corey Perry (94) defends during the first period at the Bell Centre.

Roll the Bones! We may not be shooting craps tonight, but Ej has a Tuesday night NHL parlay with odds at a lucky 7.11, and totals are the name of the game for me. With a trio of totals hitting the board, our resident pucks pundit expects plenty of goals to be scored from three games on the Tuesday schedule, so let’s lace ‘em up and hit the ice!

Montreal Canadiens vs Minnesota Wild: HABS AND WILD FIND TWINE AT BELL CENTRE

The twine will unwind, and we just don’t mind! Hey, I am a poet now too! HA!

The Canadiens and Wild will get together on Tuesday night at Bell Centre, and I only have one thing going through my head for this contest. GOALS! As you might have read here at Bettingexpert last week, we poured on the total for the Leafs-Habs affair and all they did was combine to score 11 goals to open the campaign.

Even though the Wild have not exactly been a club that pours goals into the nets, they shouldn’t struggle to score on Tuesday because Jake Allen is expected to start for the Habs tonight. Allen gave up 5 regulation-time goals to the Leafs on opening night, and he lost the shootout.

The Habs put Sam Montembeault in the net against the Blackhawks the following game, and he came away with a 3 – 2 win, and yet the Habs are showing Jake Allen getting the nod tonight for this game. Now, should that change and Martin St. Louis has any brains at all, I don’t even believe that Allen would get ANY CHANCE to make another appearance in the NHL for the immediate future.

One word: SIEVE! Jake Allen is a sieve and if St. Louis puts him back on the ice tonight, we are going to smash this total to pieces. I hope Allen gets the nod so we can cash another easy ticket on a Montreal total on Tuesday night, but do check your lineups before the game, please.

If Montembeault does get the start as he should, I suggest you change this play to the Habs Moneyline and guess why. Oh, you know me by now, right? That says 2.15 on those odds, and when it comes to plus-money offers I am the king of the land! No one puts plus-money offers on the table as I do, here, or anywhere else you get your NHL plays from. I’ll put my 30 years of NHL betting experience up against anyone you can find but I do not care about anyone but me. I don’t compete with people, I COMPETE WITH ODDSMAKERS! My goal is to beat the book, not other people, because I want to be the one who helps the people be on the right side of the line all the time!

Play this Over 6.5 with OT-Included if Jake Allen is starting, and if Montembeault goes for Montreal change your play to the Habs moneyline and expect the home team to win this game on Tuesday night at Bell Centre.

  • Selection: Over 6.5 Goals – OT-Included
  • Best Odds: 1.91

Winnipeg Jets vs Los Angeles Kings: LIGHT THE LAMP AT CANADA LIFE CENTRE

Lights, sirens, and fans enjoying a high-scoring hockey game! That’s what we’ll be seeing at Canada Life Centre on Tuesday night when the Jets and Kings lace up the skates..

I am seeing Cam Talbot and Connor Hellebuyck as the expecting starting goalies for this game, and once again that points me to goals being scored on Tuesday night. Talbot is averaging 4.02 GAA after allowing 4 goals to the Avalanche to start the new campaign, and Hellebuyck isn’t far behind him with a 4.07 GAA through his first two starts of 2023.

Does anyone want to look back to last season with me? Hellebuyck started all three games against the Kings last year, and he only allowed less than 4 goals once. He allowed 3 more in the other game he started against LA, and I am simply not convinced that he will have some kind of stellar outing on Tuesday either.

I have no problem expecting goals to be scored if Hellebuyck is starting against the Kings, and Talbot is off to a rough start to this year too. Now, I get that the Avalanche offense is no picnic, and the Avalanche might score 4 goals on plenty of netminders in 2023.

Until I see a solid effort put forth from either of these two clowns, I fade them, and I’ll fade them more after this game gets out of control on Tuesday night too. Lamps will be lit, the horns will sound early and often, and we will reap the benefits from it all playing this total to go over the 6,5 goals with OT-Included.

The line setters only have a mere 1.95 for this total to go over that number and that is SOLD!

  • Selection: Over 6.5 Goals – OT-Included
  • Best Odds: 1.95
  • Bookmaker: Bet365
  • Stakes: 4/10

Philadelphia Flyers vs Vancouver Canucks: FLYERS AND NUCKS BREAK THE BANK AT WELLS FARGO

The Canucks skated all over the Edmonton Oilers to start the campaign, putting up a snowman against a team that many think can go deep into the post-season this year. While Edmonton tries to right their ship, the Canucks have nothing to fix at the moment after going 2 – 0 to open the campaign with 12 goals to their credit already.

You know, averaging 6 goals allowed per contest type of thing? My goodness, that is just called ready out of the gate, and I am not about to think that the Flyers will have the ability to slow them down either.

As we all know, the Flyers, well, STINK! Last year was a complete disaster, and one win over Columbus sure doesn’t have me convinced that the Flyers are going to be a playoff team this season. The Flyers fell back to earth with a 5 – 2 loss to the Senators last time out, and that’s more like what I expect to see tonight when the Nucks visit Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday night.

Thatcher Demko and Carter Hart are listed as the expected goalkeepers for this contest, and Hart already has a 3.53 GAA through two starts. Travis Konecny has gotten off to another hot start to the season, already with 3 goals to his credit through the first two games of the year. Konecny scored twice in the season opener against Columbus and netted another goal in the loss to Ottawa last time out.

On a team that has been anything but consistent in recent years, Konecny was a 30-30 guy a year ago, and he’s headed there again so far. I expect him to grab a goal or two tonight again, as he helps us cash yet another total to go Over the 6.5 goals.

  • Selection: Over 6.5 Goals – OT-Included
  • Best Odds: 1.91
  • Bookmaker: Bet365
  • Stakes: 4/10
