Florida Panthers vs Ottawa Senators Preview
April 7, 00:07 (UK time)
Hello again, and I hope you enjoyed your Tuesday offer that involved the Senators, as we cashed yet another ticket to start the week. This will be my last article before next week, so let’s give you two offers instead of one and make it juicy! Ironic, right? I call it juicy but there is no juice to be found with today’s two offers, so let’s start with the game in Florida with the Sens in town.
What a great game it was and what a better result it was for us, and I almost called for a 3 – 2 game before I went with 4 – 3, knowing it would be a tight game for Ottawa against the Canes. We made the dough and I am calling for an early 1 – 1 score to take place tonight. You know that means we are going with Both Teams to Score a goal in the opening 20 minutes, and with these two netminders we are expected to see, I am just fine with it.
Our odds? Oh, 2.30 will have to do, I know, let me twist your arm, HA!
Alex Lyon and Cam Talbot are the expected goalies for this game from what I can tell, as it doesn’t look like Sergei Bobrovsky is returning yet for Florida. He has missed the last 4 games and Lyon has been called upon to carry the load.
Lyon has made 4 straight impressive starts that all resulted in two points for his team, and in the long run that is all that matters right now for damn sure. Points are at a premium at this stage of the game, and the Cats are tied with the Islanders for the 7-8 seeds toward the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Pittsburgh is only a point behind the pair of them, so with only 4 games to play in regular-season action, Florida needs two points every night from here on out. The Cats finish with Washington, Toronto, and Carolina, which won’t be easy to navigate unscathed.
For me, as I usually do I just have a feeling it will be 1 – 1 early, and that is not a tall order to fill in the least. Florida has found the net in the first period Over the last 9 games, Florida has tallied at least one goal in the opening frame, and we have seen a 1 – 1 score on four of those occasions.

With that said, I think it’s clear that I expect this game to be 1 – 1 when the first period ends so we can get paid in 20 minutes with a 2.30 on the board!
- Selection: Both Teams to Score in 1st Period
- Best odds: 2.30 (GGBet)
- Stakes: 4/10

St. Louis Blues vs NY Rangers Preview
April 7, 01:07 (UK time)
Come on now, there are 14 NHL games on the Thursday slate, and you didn’t think I would include the Ranger game? You know better by now, and once again I found a plus-money offer on a tip that I think will be as good as gold. Marathon is offering the NY Rangers Win + Over 4.5 goals at 2.32, and I shook my head and hit back and refreshed and did it three times to make sure I wasn’t drunk and seeing things, HA!
So you’re telling me, that if the Rangers win this game 3 – 2 and move to 103 points in the Eastern Conference table, we can cash a ticket with those odds? I did notice the Rangers Win + Over 5.5 at 2.92, and I am so in the mood to break that puppy out instead. Hey listen, I am as in love with my ROI as anyone you will ever meet, but I also like to not get too greedy when we are up. This is not house money we’ve earned tailing my bets, this is straight cash, Homie!
St. Louis isn’t playing for anything so they are just another of the non-post-season teams who want to fight hard every night knowing that jobs will be on the line after these four games of the regular season are finished. Make no mistake that no one will say in the locker room that we don’t have a chance to win tonight, because the Blues have proven that can still put up a good fight even if they do take the L.
The Blues just took down Philly last time out, 4 – 2, and the game before it took a shootout for Boston to earn their second point against St. Louis in a 4 – 3 final. When it was 3 – 1 going to the third period, the NHL Network just kept plastering all the stats about Boston with a lead going to the final frame, and the Blues trailing with the third period about to come. Let’s just say those were polar opposites, but the Blues showed some fight taking the third period 2 – 0 to force overtime and the eventual shootout, which is not what we call laying down for dead.
No one would have gotten any further down on them for losing to Boston after trailing to fight an uphill battle, but the Blues are not going to just let the Rangers walk in here without a battle either.
The Rangers are coming off a 5 – 2 dismantling of the Caps, but that 3 – 2 loss to Buffalo was a surprise to most of us. I can’t confirm or deny that the Jersey game saw me throw something across my living room when that loss happened, but St. Louis is throwing Jordan Binnington out on the ice again tonight. Greiss is still out, and it looks like Binnington will only get spelled if he gets pulled early from a game.

Igor is the likely Rangers netminder, and again, if we’re asking for a 3 – 2 win for the Blue Shirts to cash a 2.32 ticket, I am all over it. So, you have a pair of tips with odds of 2.30 and 2.32 to soak in and boost your ROI%… because that’s what the Mayor of Value City does!
- Selection: NY Rangers Win + Over 4.5 Goals
- Best odds: 2.32 (Marathon)
- Stakes: 4/10
