Le Flame will begin the proverbial second half of the campaign with four road games before returning to the Saddledome, and when they return to Calgary, these two teams will meet again on February 18. In actuality, this trip started in Seattle before the All-Star break so it amounts to a 5-game roadie for Le Flame.
Not only do I hope you caught my 3 – 1 record from the All-Star game article, but if you look in my profile, you’ll see a future article that includes my opinion of Le Flames’ chances to make the playoffs this season. I’ll let you go track it down so I don’t spoil the surprise of what I said.
Before we get to the post-season, we have about 30 games left for each team, and the unders will start being a thing very soon. Totals and goal-scoring come way down when the word playoffs start to be heard all around the league because points are of the essence, and each one is vital.

I expect Igor to be back on his game and I expect the Blue Shirts to return from the break with a home win at MSG. The Rangers have accumulated a 14 – 5 – 3 – 1 record here in New York, and they have found wins from five of their last six home games against Western Conference teams. Don’t get me started about the one loss in that mix to Edmonton because I remember it well as we blew a 3 – 0 lead to lose 4 – 3 with a 3rd-period meltdown.
