New York Rangers vs Calgary Flames Best Bet: Back From the All-Star Break

New York Rangers vs Calgary Flames Best Bet: Monday, February 6th
After a 3 – 1 performance at the All-Star game this past weekend, our resident pucks pundit Ej Garr is headed to MSG to preview the Rangers and Flames play on Monday. Ej’s home town squad returns from the break hoping to take advantage of a 3-game home stand while Le Flame hits the road for four straight games.

Le Flame will begin the proverbial second half of the campaign with four road games before returning to the Saddledome, and when they return to Calgary, these two teams will meet again on February 18. In actuality, this trip started in Seattle before the All-Star break so it amounts to a 5-game roadie for Le Flame.
Not only do I hope you caught my 3 – 1 record from the All-Star game article, but if you look in my profile, you’ll see a future article that includes my opinion of Le Flames’ chances to make the playoffs this season. I’ll let you go track it down so I don’t spoil the surprise of what I said.
Before we get to the post-season, we have about 30 games left for each team, and the unders will start being a thing very soon. Totals and goal-scoring come way down when the word playoffs start to be heard all around the league because points are of the essence, and each one is vital.
Since I offer a bet on the NHL Grand Salami every day of my life to my people at my forum, I pay attention to totals every night. There are six games on the schedule on Monday, and those goal-scoring numbers won’t be coming down just yet with the amount of garbage hockey teams on the ice tonight. I won’t get into the other games right now, but you should play the salami over tonight if you like extra cash and I’ll leave it at that.
This game has my attention not only because it’s a Rangers game but because the line caught my eye as well. I see a handful of bookmakers offering 1.89 on the Rangers Moneyline, and I hope it stays there long enough for you all to get that offer Naturally, the line will fluctuate from book to book, but you should still be able to get a fair offer regardless of your book and when you get the tip on the board.
I will say that I was not impressed with Igor Shesterkin’s performance at the All-Star festivities this weekend, but let’s face the fact that going up against a 3-on-3 situation for 10 minutes isn’t easy either. You saw them interview Connor Hellebuyck during one of the intermissions, and he was just laughing at the feeling of no defenseman on the ice with all of the best forwards in the game skating around him.
I expect Igor to be back on his game and I expect the Blue Shirts to return from the break with a home win at MSG. The Rangers have accumulated a 14 – 5 – 3 – 1 record here in New York, and they have found wins from five of their last six home games against Western Conference teams. Don’t get me started about the one loss in that mix to Edmonton because I remember it well as we blew a 3 – 0 lead to lose 4 – 3 with a 3rd-period meltdown.
NY Rangers vs Calgary Flames Best Bet
As I said, I hope you still have the value of 1.89 on the Rangers Moneyline when you see this article, as I expect a New York win at MSG tonight. Even though Le Flame has a relatively easy few games to finish this road trip, tonight is not one of those affairs.
