Nashville Predators vs Vancouver Canucks Best Bet: Defence? What Defence?

Nashville Predators vs Vancouver Canucks Best Bet: Tuesday, February 21st
Our resident hockey expert is scorching hot this month, and yet again Ej has a play with the extreme value being offered today. The Nashville Predators and Vancouver Canucks will skate on the Bridgestone Arena ice on Tuesday night, and if you expect any defence to be found you might want to think otherwise.

Defense? Wait, do you mean blocking shots and getting back behind the blue line to defend the goal and help your netminder? The Vancouver Canucks have no clue what the word defense means, and it is driving their new head coach Rick Tocchet crazy. About a week ago during a morning practice, Tocchet kept blowing the whistle every and any time a player was out of position. He blew enough air to fill 10 balloons, and it has changed nothing at all.
Let’s just call it what it is since Tocchett doesn’t want to get it. These players want to go forward and stay there, and even his back line wants to push forward to the offense. All it is doing is leading to odd-man rushes and transition goals against them and that will come in handy tonight again.
After watching this team play my Rangers the other night, it is clear that the Canucks want to try to outscore you rather than trying to defend. I am okay with that tonight because of the odds we have for the total in this match.
The line setters are offering the Over 6.5 at a reasonable line for some, but the Mayor of Value City has no interest in that noise. Have you met me or read anything I have posted here? Plus money is my middle name, and we are not toying around with that 6.5 number.
The Over 7 is listed with odds of 2.45 at most sites that carry the alternate lines, and you damn well better jump on that like a trampoline! Over the last 10 games the Canucks have played, there have been no less than 7 goals scored. It’s not just a small sample when something happens 10-straight times, and I am not about to shy away from thinking it will change anytime soon.
The Predators have not exactly been full of offense as we break down their entire campaign, but at the moment they are scoring goals. What a crazy third period that was against Minnesota, and I think that momentum will carry into this game. The Predators may have lost that game, 4 – 3, but the 7 goals against Florida was an impressive showing I hope they are building on. Getting the Canucks on home ice should provide a wealth of success for the Predator offense again, and I expect them t strongly contribute to our total.

This is a 4 – 4 match waiting to happen, so why settle for all of that juice on the total of 6, or the 6.5 either? You are taking that money and trusting me when I tell you that no less than 7 goals will be scored tonight in Nashville.
