Playtime is over! I had a terrible week to open the damn 2023 portion of the campaign, and nothing has me more fired up than a losing skid. Now, we can’t get 3 picks back in one night, but with the two offers I am handing out today, we’ll get pretty close to making it all up.
With plenty of goal-scoring in mind, I am not playing around with the Over 6.5 nor do I expect them to come out of the gate slow either. I watched the snowman alert the Kraken put up on Ottawa this past Saturday, and I am not about to fade a team that just scored 8 goals, no matter who the game was played against.
Seattle has blasted home 22 goals over their last 4 games, all wins and each game by multiple goals to boot. Scoring 8 goals are obnoxious as all hell, and when a team has no interest in stopping it is fun to watch. We will often see a team get up 4 – 0 and just stop playing their best hockey for some reason.
Seattle isn’t taking that approach and the more rubber that goes on the frame the more the odds move toward scoring goals. Seattle only needed 23 shots to dump 8 goals on Ottawa on Saturday, but that was their lowest shot count put up during this 4-game win streak.
Let’s talk about the comparison of the Seattle offense vs the Habs’ defen… wait, I almost said defense like the Canadiens actually have one to speak of, phew, glad I caught that. Montreal ranks 29th in the NHL and Jake Allen is a complete mess of a goalkeeper.
It looks by the early postings that Jake Allen and Phillipp Grubauer will be starting between the pipes, and they are both lumps on a log! They each have a GAA over 3.5 and you want to give me this Seattle team against them right now? Seattle ranks 3rd in teh NHL putting up 3.7 goals an outing, and it’s almost like the thrashing by the Oilers helped them.
On top of that, the Habs just played the Blues to a 5 – 4 game, which makes it 7 straight outings allowing at least 4 goals. Who the hell are we to expect any of that to continue tonight?

Pick me to be the guy, baby, and two offers come to you with plus-money tagged on each tip. First of all, the lines on Both Teams to Score in the opening frame are posted at +150, and that is play number 1.
Secondly, the Over 7 is sitting three screaming at +165, and they could have those goals bagged before we even get to the third period. Let’s hope the barrage of goals carries into the new week for us so we can cash in a pair of lovely tickets.
