Buffalo Sabres vs Pittsburgh Penguins Best Bet: Sound the Horns
BUFFALO SABRES VS PITTSBURGH PENGUINS BEST BET: WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 2nd
The Pittsburgh Penguins are playing the back end of a BTB, as they’ll take on the Sabres on the road tonight after a thrilling game against Boston last night at home. With only two hockey games on the slate for Hump Day, our resident puck pundit has his eyes on the total for this matchup, so expect some horns to be heard and lamps to be lit!

November 3, 00:30 (UK time)
Tuesday night was fun at the Garr household last night, as I set up my great room with 3 televisions to watch some sports. The World Series was on my big screen, and I had the Boston vs Pittsburgh hockey game on ESPN, and the Islanders / Blackhawks game on MSG+. So, you like sports, do you? Hmm hmm, come live in my world, baby, because sports is my life and life is good!
I kept my eye on the Pittsburgh game, of course, because I knew I had to write up one of these two games tonight, and I am going near that other game. Because MSG is also the Rangers network, they kept showing us what was going on with Philly and there wasn’t much going on to miss there anyway. Now, the Flyers have to regroup and head to Toronto tonight and both of those teams just stink right now.
Toronto has taken two points from their last 4 outings and Philly? Oh, don’t get me started!
Let’s just get out of Canada, thanks, because we can expect a few more things to happen in Buffalo than we can in Toronto tonight. First of all, there were snowmen in the rink the last time the Sabers took the ice. No silly, not actual snowmen, that’s hockey lingo for an 8-goal barrage of scoring that the Sabres displayed the last time they took the ice against the Red Wings. Scoring 8 goals are obnoxious, and I had to watch that Pittsburgh / Boston game play out the way it did on top of that.
The line setters slapped a straight 6 on the total but they juiced it a bit at 1.80 if you are a Bwin user. I used to love having that bookmaker here in the States, and I miss them. Regardless, I think we should just be sliding our total to the 6.5 at 2.00 and expecting that to just fly over tonight.
There are times to put ourselves in a position to push a bet with some marginal juice, and there are games like these that I don’t think we need to bother. I honestly just hope they both carry the scoring momentum into tonight’s affair, and I hope Buffalo comes out aggressive knowing Pittsburgh had to deal with Boston last night.
Since Tristan Jarry started the Tuesday night affair in Boston, we can assume that Casey DeSmith will get his 4th start of the campaign for the Pangs tonight. DeSmith has yet to earn a victory in three chances this year, as he is averaging exactly 3 goals against him allowing 9 goals from the 3 starts.
Eric Comrie should get another start for Buffalo tonight, although I will tell you right now that if this is our goalie matchup tonight, you better double up on the total. Also, Buffalo being a home dog catching Pittsburgh on the back end of BTB is an interesting line too. Buffalo is playing some nice hockey to begin the campaign and that 6 – 2 record is indicative of that

I just hope you open the goalie matchup page and see that it’s Comrie vs DeSmith. My goodness, but either way, just hit the total to go Over 6.5 at even money and enjoy the cash!
