I have four words for you! Mayor of Value City!

Well, I have more than four words for you because I have a lot of reasons to like today’s best bet of the day I am offering for tonight’s game between the Habs and Sabres. How do odds of 2.66 sound to you? By now, you are used to me handing you the good stuff while other sites offer you rubbish lines full of juice, but around here, thanks.

We call it a snowman when you dump 8 goals on your opponent here in the States, and I got to catch the Canadiens game against Columbus knowing this was right where I was headed for today’s bet. I realize it was Columbus and the disaster that that organization is this campaign, but when you score eight goals it still instills confidence in your offense to stay in the same frame of mind when you get a team like Buffalo across the ice.

Buffalo is still trying to keep their slim chances of a playoff berth in check, but as I have said before it isn’t going to happen for them. I will give them the credit they deserve, however, for beating the Devils and Islanders in their last two games. Who the heck could have predicted a 2 – 0 Sabres win happening over the Isles? I will tell you right now that I would have not called for that to happen, but it won’t stop me from thinking that Montreal can’t score 4 goals on Buffalo tonight on the road. Let’s make no mistake that the Habs season has also been a full-blown disaster with only 64 points stuck in the basement of the Atlantic Division table.

The away team has won both meetings between the two teams since the beginning of the campaign back in October, and Montreal will surely be looking to return the favour of a 7 – 2 loss to this same Sabres team back in November. Since those meetings were so long ago, I don’t think it will have much of an effect on the outcome of this game, other than the Habs possibly coming away with two points from an upset win.

Buffalo is heavily favoured on the Moneyline at 1.45, and that makes me want to jump on the Habs even more with so much value in a 2.70 reverse result. I will be happy enough to jump on a 2.66 though because I expect this to be a 4 – 3 game and the total is listed at a straight 7. Why settle for a push toward the total when we can expect Montreal to snag that fourth goal so we can cash a ticket full of value in this spot?

What I love about tips like these is we don’t need to care who wins, or if the total hits either because as soon as Montreal scores that 4th goal we have the cash in our pockets!
