Arizona Coyotes vs Seattle Kraken Best Bet: Monday, April 10th

The Seattle Kraken can at least end up with the 7-seed headed toward the Western Conference playoffs, and with three games remaining in the regular season, there is still room for improvement. Seattle has the 7-seed locked up toward the Western Conference playoffs, but there is no reason to settle for that because there is still room to improve their post-season position. With 98 points and three games remaining in the regular season, Seattle could climb as high as 4th which would mean home ice in the first round of the NHL Playoffs.

Realistically, Seattle is happy to be making their first post-season appearance in team history this season, and staying healthy is undoubtedly a major concern. By the same token, the Kraken has had a full week off since the last time they played, so that should do wonders for their confidence coming into this game.

These two teams just met on April 3 in Seattle, and the Kraken still thought it was winter because they broke out a snowman! An obnoxious 8 – 1 win over a Coyote’s squad will also provide some confidence for the road team who have back-to-back games with Las Vegas to end the regular season ahead of them. That will not be an easy series to navigate, but a win here in Arizona combined with even one win from the two meetings with Las Vegas could see the Kraken jump to the 5 or 6 seed should the teams around them not end their campaigns strong.

Seattle has won 4 of their last 5 games and the last time we saw them skate a 5 – 2 win over the Vancouver Canucks was the result. The Kraken has scored 25 goals over during this 5-game run despite the loss to LA in that mix, 3 – 1.

Arizona also hasn’t played since that 8 – 1 loss to Seattle, so they too have had a week off to regroup and try to get in Seattle’s way, but I don’t see that happening in the least. I see no reason why the Kraken cannot repeat that type of effort against an Arizona team that simply has been rubbing the entire campaign. Arizona has lost its last 7 games and if giving up goals is the name of the game the Coyotes have mastered it! The Coyotes have seen 33 pucks find the back of the net over this 7-game run of losses, and it might get up to 40 after Seattle scores all 7 of the goals we need to cash this total.
