Wednesday's Horse Racing Tips: York, August 21st
Today’s Horse Racing Tips – August 21st
There are five meetings on Wednesday in Britain and Ireland, with fans of the flat getting stuck into competitive cards at Carlisle, Kempton and York (as the four day Ebor meeting begins). Jumps fans will be delighted their “break” is over in the UK, as Worcester stages their second fixture of the week and more huge fields are assured, while Sligo also puts on some low grade fare over the sticks.

Today’s Daily Nap
Divine Comedy
York 4.10 (UK time)
Harry Eustace’s mare has been kept fresh for the Ebor meeting since running a cracking race in defeat at Royal Ascot, and a strongly run two miles on fast ground would be her optimum conditions. She has won 5 of her 15 starts so far on the turf, and remains relatively unexposed granted a proper test of stamina over these kind of trips (with the booking of the promising claimer Kaiya Fraser a big plus).
Odds: 7.00
Today’s Value Angle
Desert Cop
York 1.50 (UK time)
Andrew Balding’s sprinter raced freely for an international rider at Ascot last time out, and remains in top form despite that apparent below par effort. He travels really strongly on fast ground, and the booking of Oisin Murphy certainly increases confidence that he can go close here in a typically competitive York handicap.
Odds: 11.00
