There are five meetings in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with Dundalk (AW) and Wolverhampton (AW) providing some low grade but competitive all-weather action to keep bookmakers and punters busy through to the evening under the lights. Jumping fans have Ffos Las, Hexham and Warwick to get stuck into on soft ground, with some really tricky low grade handicaps to solve on two competitive cards.

Nigel Twiston-Davies novice impressed when making a winning hurdling debut at Worcester in September, showing a terrific attitude to edge out a well backed Skelton hotpot in MylesfromWicklow, and shaped very well upped in class at Cheltenham last time out. The step up to 2m5f will unlock further improvement (very much a 3m chaser on looks), and a positive ride at this sharp track by the excellent claimer Finn Lambert should make him extremely hard to beat.

Venetia Williams has her team in blistering form at the moment (10w/23r in the last fortnight), and her formerly useful handicapper is worth chancing from a reduced mark after a long absence (371 days). He is clearly fragile now at the age of 11, only making it to the track once last season, but has a touch of class at this level and will be well suited by a sharp LH track over this three mile trip.
