Wednesday's Horse Racing Tips: Ludlow, April 24th
Today’s Horse Racing Tips – April 24th
There are seven scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with NH fans in for a very busy afternoon and evening. They have Bellewstown, Perth, Ludlow, Taunton and Uttoxeter to study on drying ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Shropshire venue (and Evan Williams sure to be well represented at a track he has an excellent record at). Flat fans have decent grade action to study at Catterick and Gowran Park, with the low grade handicaps looking especially competitive for the time of year at the Yorkshire track.

Much too Dear
Ludlow 2.35 (UK time)
Laura Horsfall does well with a small team of horses each season, and has struck form now the ground has finally dried up. Her progressive handicapper is overcame a troubled run through when coming from last to second at Ascot last time out (badly hampered by a faller at the first flight), and this sharp track on decent ground should suit ideally with a strong gallop up front on the cards.
Odds: 4.50

School Days Over
Ludlow 3.05 (UK time)
Fergal O’Brien’s maiden hurdler has hinted at better to come in just three tries over fences so far, and is very well handicapped for a spring campaign on decent ground. He drops down in class here after getting tired at Hereford last time out (chased too strong a pace), and this step up to a sharp three miles should allow him to settle into a smooth rhythm under the excellent Jonathan Burke.
Odds: 6.00
