Wednesday's Horse Racing Tips: Fontwell, March 6th
Today’s Horse Racing Tips – March 6th
There are just three scheduled meetings in Britain and on Wednesday as the countdown to Cheltenham gathers pace, with NH fans in for an informative afternoon. They have Catterick and Fontwell to study on testing ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Sussex venue (and local trainer Gary Moore sure to be well represented). AW fans have decent grade action to study at Kempton, with the lights coming on at 5.30pm at the Sunbury track and the handicaps looking especially competitive for the time of year.

Jupiter du Gite
Fontwell 2.30 (UK time)
Gary Moore has enjoyed a terrific few weeks after a very quiet spell, and his progressive young chaser has been found a terrific opening to defy at Fontwell on Wednesday. He stepped forward dramatically when well backed on good ground at Hereford in January, jumping well and finding for pressure up the straight in a close second to Guy. A small weights rise looks on the lenient side, and there should be plenty more improvement in the tank after just that debut run over fences.
Odds: 3.0
Today’s Value Angle
Tuscan Rose
Fontwell 3.00 (UK time)
Neil Mulholland’s mare remains a maiden after 8 career starts under Rules, but she has typically been brought along with handicaps in mind and stepped forward with a promising third at Southwell last time out. Soft ground clearly suits ideally, and the eye-catching booking of the championship-chasing Harry Cobden certainly increases confidence that she can get off the mark.
Odds: 2.5
