There are three meetings in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with NH fans in for an informative afternoon. They have Doncaster and Leicester to study on drying eased ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Yorkshire venue. AW fans have some quality novice/maiden action to study in the evening at Kempton, with the lights coming on at 5.30pm in Sunbury for their regular midweek fixture.

Tom Lacey has maintained an good strike rate in recent weeks, and his progressive young chaser has optimum conditions to win again at Doncaster on Wednesday. He impressed when landing a hefty touch at Newcastle in November, and looked in need of a stiffer test of stamina when a creditable second here last time out. There should still be plenty more to come after just four runs over fences, and he can improve past more exposed opposition here under the excellent Stan Sheppard.

Alan King’s lightly raced mare has impressed in victory and defeat in just two runs over hurdles so far, and this opening handicap mark may well underestimate her potential to improve as she gathers more racing experience. She will appreciate the flat track here on soft ground after looking a shade unbalanced at Fontwell last time out, and a positive ride from Tom Cannon is likely with her stamina for this trip established.
