Wednesday’s Horse Racing Tips: Carlisle, June 28h

Today’s Horse Racing Tips – June 28th
There are six meetings in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with competitive flat racing dominating from Bath, Carlisle, Kempton (AW) Naas and Salisbury. NH fans have the card at Worcester to get studying, with the action getting underway at 1.55pm and the track applying plenty of water in the past week to ensure safe jumping ground.

Carlisle 3:20 (UK time)
John Gallagher’s battle-hardened 6-y-o has been running really well in defeat all season, and shaped a lot better than the bare result when sixth in a huge field at York last time out (harried on the lead and only fading out of the frame from the furlong pole). He is best dominating from the front, and an attacking ride from Frankie McDonald could make him hard to pass against the far rail on fast ground.

David O’Meara’s tough 8-y-o comes into this valuable handicap on a lenient mark, and a strongly run mile at this stiff track is expected to suit ideally under the excellent Danny Tudhope. He pulled too hard in rear initially at Ayr last time out in a muddling small field, doing well to throw down a challenge at the furlong pole, and this bigger field should set things up ideally for a late charge (if he enjoys any luck in running weaving his way through).
Odds: NA
