They have Chepstow and Plumpton to study on decent ground, with some tough handicaps to try to solve at the Welsh venue in particular alongside some unexposed novices from the top yards. AW fans have low grade action to study in the evening at Newcastle, with the lights coming on at 3.55pm.

David Pipe and Jack Tudor have teamed up to good effect in recent weeks, and the duo can strike again at Plumpton on Tuesday. This consistent handicapper shaped a lot better than the bare result at Doncaster last time out, travelling strongly under restraint before fading from the last in a better race, and this sharper track should suit ideally dropping down in class.

Joe Tizzard’s frustrating handicapper has been extremely expensive to follow so far over hurdles, usually very strong in the market but not quite delivering off the bridle at the business end (having travelled like one well ahead of this mark over a variety of trips). He is now a maiden after six runs over hurdles, but does have a big engine and is very well treated on the pick of his form (with the excellent Brendan Powell booked).
