There are five meetings in Britain and Ireland on Tuesday, with NH fans in for a busy afternoon. They have Ffos Las, Fontwell, Punchestown and Wincanton to get stuck into on testing ground, with some decent handicaps to solve at the Sussex venue in particular (alongside a few potential plots from the local Gary Moore yard). AW fans have low grade action from Southwell to study, with the action getting underway under lights at 5.30pm.

Gary Moore’s lightly raced 4-y-o novice has a bit of untapped potential after just one run over fences so far, and he showed Fontwell suited ideally when just failing to land hefty market confidence here last time out (bumping into one well ahead of the game in Hardy Fella and pulling 17l clear of the rest). He has been given time to recover from that hard race on deep ground, and the yard hit form with a vengeance with a valuable double at Sandown over the weekend.

Richard Bandey does very well with limited ammunition every winter, and his winning hurdler shaped well on his return to the fray over fences at Ffos Las last month (racing wide and tiring up the straight behind a well backed Venetia Williams winner). Testing ground suits ideally, and a bold attacking ride from the front by Harry Bannister should soon take these rivals out of their comfort zone from an early stages round the sharp turns that suited him so well over timber.
