Thursday’s Horse Racing Tips: Haydock, September 7th

Today’s Horse Racing Tips – September 7th
There are six flat meetings in Britain and Ireland on a busy and varied Thursday, with competitive racing from Carlisle, Clonmel, Haydock Salisbury and Wolverhampton (AW). For NH fans there is a modest card at Southwell to get stuck into, with watering likely to take the jar out of the ground after a warm week of weather across the country.

Bollin Margaret
Haydock 2:00 (UK time)
Tim Easterby’s handicapper had been running well in victory and defeat all summer, winning gamely at Ripon last time out, and the long, flat Haydock straight on fast ground should suit ideally. She has won 9 of her 45 career starts, goes well for this talented amateur rider Thomas Easterby, and can defy a slightly raised mark now back in the winning groove.
Odds: NA
Today’s Value Angle
Angel Shared
Haydock 3:00 (UK time)
Steph Hollinshead’s filly has run well in defeat on all four career starts so far in fair company, and caught the eye on her handicap debut at Leicester last time out (trapped out widest on the wing throughout in a tactical contest on soft ground). She remains open to more improvement back on a faster surface, and a more positive ride is on the cards with Dougie Costello taking over in the saddle.
Odds: NA
Odds are best odds available as at 2am September 7th 2023. Odds may now differ.
