Today’s Horse Racing Tips – September 5th
There are six meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with fans of the flat in for a busy afternoon. Maximus Alexios
Haydock 3.10 (UK time)
Richard Hannon’s unexposed juvenile caught the eye on his handicap debut here last time out, finishing with running left in the tank under a patient ride over 6f, and should be suited by a step up in trip to seven furlongs for the first time. He remains open to plenty of improvement after just four career starts, and can swoop late here under David Egan.
Odds: 6.00

Roarin Success
Haydock 4.50 (UK time)
Harry Charlton’s filly looked one poised to strike when finishing second at Salusbury in July under today’s rider Trevor Whelan, and can be excused a lesser effort in a messy race at Goodwood last time out. She remains open to some improvement over middle distances this autumn, and this flatter track on decent ground should be ideal.
Odds: 11.00
