Thursday's Horse Racing Tips: Doncaster, September 12th
Today’s Horse Racing Tips – September 12th
There are four meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with fans of the flat in for a varied afternoon, with typically competitive fields at Doncaster, Epsom, Ffos Las and Newcastle (AW) to study. The start of the four day St Leger meeting on Town Moor is certainly the highlight, with a compelling mix of high class action and some typically open handicaps on decent ground.

Today’s Daily Nap
Harper’s Ferry
Doncaster 4.10 (UK time)
Ed Walker’s unexposed gelding had little chance in Group company over 1m4f at Royal Ascot in June, probably outclassed anyway but looking a non-stayer over that trip. He drops back two furlongs in trip here now into handicap company for the first time under Frankie McDonald, and this mark could be lenient based on the promise of his Windsor novice win in April (rough trip to land the odds).
Odds: 7.00
Today’s Value Angle
Alice Fairfax
Doncaster 1.50 (UK time)
Kevin Ryan’s freegoing filly has had excuses since winning on good to soft ground at Thirsk in June, and now switches to handicaps from a potentially lenient mark. She remains open to plenty of improvement after just four career starts, and this drop back to an extended six furlongs should be ideal under Tom Eaves.
Odds: 7.00
