They have both Naas and Plumpton to get stuck into on testing ground, with some decent handicaps to solve at the Irish venue in particular alongside a few potentially smart novices from the Gordon Elliott yard. AW fans have low grade action to study, with Wolverhampton putting on a competitive and extremely valuable card under lights starting at 5.30pm.

Joe Tizzard’s maiden chaser has shaped well in defeat on all three starts over fences this winter, and has been found a terrific opening at Plumpton on Sunday (with the booking of Brendan Powell increasing confidence). He is a sound jumper who revels in testing ground, just lacking a turn of foot under pressure, but these gruelling conditions are sure to be demanding and a positive ride from the front can see him get off the mark at the fourth attempt over the larger obstacles.
