David Menuisier continues in blistering form with three winners in the last fortnight at a 25pc strike rate, and his highly regarded filly is worth another chance after struggling in deep ground at Longchamp last time out. She again has the assistance of Oisin Murphy in the saddle, and this Group 3 on fast ground represents her best chance yet of the season to notch career victory number three.

ITV Racing Tips – Saturday August 31st
Time (UK) | Track | Horse | Analysis |
---|---|---|---|
1:30 | Beverley | WALTER HARTRIGHT | Ed Dunlop’s 3-y-o has thrived on his racing this summer, and his progressive gelding can defy the handicapper again at Beverley on Saturday. He has a decent turn of foot at this level (which should be an asset in this tactical small field), and will be looking to pick these off late up the final Beverley climb for home. |
1:50 | Sandown | HAVANA BLUE | Julie Camacho’s northern handicapper showed a terrific attitude under pressure to inch home at Beverley last time out, and can follow up on the faster ground that suits ideally at Sandown. Frontrunning against the far rail is always a good plan of attack here on the round course, and he can fend them all off up the sapping hill. |
2:05 | Beverley | EMARAATY ANNA | Soft ground was no use at all for this speedy sprinter at Chester last time out, and he can bounce back to his best to take this valuable listed prize under Saffie Osborne. |
2:25 | Sandown | TAMFANA | David Menuisier continues in blistering form with three winners in the last fortnight at a 25pc strike rate, and his highly regarded filly is worth another chance after struggling in deep ground at Longchamp last time out. She again has the assistance of Oisin Murphy in the saddle, and this Group 3 on fast ground represents her best chance yet of the season to notch career victory number three. |
2:40 | Chester | CARRYTHEONE | Michael Bell’s progressive handicapper has thrived all summer, and showed this career high mark was not beyond him when finishing a cracking third in strong company at Ascot last time out. The booking of the top class James Doyle increase confidence, and the ground has dried out at Chester from the softer side of good earlier in the week. |
3:00 | Sandown | INVOLVEMENT | Simon and Ed Crisford’s gelding remains unexposed in handicaps after just three attempts so far, and he had excuses at Deauville last time out when Callum Shepherd was unable to settle him in the early stages in a muddling contest. William Buick takes over this afternoon on much quicker ground, and he can resume his upwardly mobile profile. |
3:15 | Chester | REAL DREAM | Sir Michael Stoute’s useful performer comes here fresh after a light campaign this season, and seems sure to go close with conditions to suit under Richard Kingscote. |
3:35 | Sandown | HOTT SHOTT | Richard Hughes has a strong hand in the juvenile division, and his scopey 2-y-o can handle a jump up in class here under Rossa Ryan. He impressed when landing the cash last time out at a lower level, and can improve past some more exposed rivals. |
