AW fans have decent grade action to study at Dundalk, Newcastle and Wolverhampton, with the lights coming on at 3.45pm on Tyneside and the handicaps looking especially competitive for the time of year.

Mick Appleby’s handicapper is extremely well treated on the best of his form in the last couple of years, and he started to attract significant market interest on his final two starts of last season (well backed at Ascot and Southwell). He shaped better than the bare result on both occasions (latterly on debut for these very astute connections), and much more positive tactics are on the cards now dropping down in class at Wolverhampton on Friday with Jason Hart taking over in the saddle for the first time.

The booking of Hollie Doyle certainly catches the eye, and a positive front-running ride is usually a good plan of attack round this sharp all-weather track.
