Friday's Horse Racing Tips: Sandown, April 26th

Today’s Horse Racing Tips – April 26th
There are seven scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with NH fans in for an informative afternoon and evening. They have Chepstow, Downpatrick and Perth to study on soft ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Scottish venue (and Lucinda Russell sure to be well represented on home territory). Flat fans have decent grade action to study at Cork, Doncaster, Newcastle (AW) and Sandown, with the handicaps at the Esher venue looking especially competitive for the time of year (alongside a cracking Group 2 mile at 3.00pm).

Flight Plan
Sandown 3.00 (UK time)
Karl Burke has a terrific team of exciting youngsters to go to war with this season, and he has them well forward first time up (eight winners in the last fortnight at a 20pc strike rate). His scopey 4-y-o thrived last season, culminating in a bold frontrunning win in a Leopardstown Group 2 in September, and those tactics are sure to be effective at this track on quickening spring ground. Danny Tudhope will be looking to take the initiative from the stalls, and an unpestered lead against the favoured far rail could be a huge tactical advantage.
Odds: 6.00
Today’s Value Angle
Cuban Tiger
Sandown 1.50 (UK time)
Karl Burke’s promising 3-y-o starts out on turf on a very attractive handicap mark (with the potential to improve dramatically as his stamina is further drawn out this summer). He impressed when winning twice on the all-weather since January (despite clear signs of inexperience off the bridle), and this mile on drying spring ground should be ideal under David Probert.
Odds: 11.00
