Friday’s Horse Racing Tips: Newmarket, July 14th
Today’s Horse Racing Tips – July 14th
There are seven meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with competitive high quality flat racing dominating from Ascot, Chepstow, Chester, Newmarket and York. The card at HQ sees the second day of the popular July meeting, with two Group races on a compelling and informative card (including the Falmouth at 3.35pm over a mile for fillies and mares). NH fans have the evening cards at Cork and Kilbeggan to get studying, with the action getting underway at 4.40pm.

George Boughey’s top class mare seems to have come back better than ever this season as a 5-y-o, and she really impressed sent over to the Curragh last time out when typically set plenty to do from rear by regular rider Jamie Spencer. The drop back to a mile here on faster ground should be no issue at all given the turn of foot she possesses, and she has already won 2 of her 3 previous starts at Newmarket.

Tom Ward’s stayer has thrived on a busy season, showing a terrific attitude to come clear late on in a competitive 1m6f York handicap last time out. He now has to defy a new mark in a better race, but should get the strong gallop he needs to bring his proven stamina into play, and can enhance his excellent strike rate of 6 wins from 25 races (with the booking of the excellent David Egan a big plus).
Odds: NA
