Cards at Bath, Brighton, Goodwood, Haydock and Thirsk will keep punters and bookmakers busy throughout the afternoon and evening. Roger Teal’s sprinter has only won 1 of his 19 career starts to date, often looking a tricky ride under pressure, but he ran really well over this unique course and distance last time out and a repeat effort would be enough to take this very weak Class 6 classified stakes. He clearly handles the firm ground really well, and the assistance of Saffie Osborne could be enough to coax his head in front in the closing stages.

Charlie Hills 3-y-o remains a maiden after five career starts, but he appeals as one who is attractively handicapped and caught the eye last time out at Lingfield (well backed 7/2f but impossibly wide trip throughout and finished with running left in the tank in a closing second). This stiffer 6f on firm ground should suit ideally, and he can swoop up the final climb with Saffie Osborne again in the saddle.
