Friday’s Horse Racing Tips: Ascot, November 24th
Today’s Horse Racing Tips – November 24th
There are six meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with Dundalk (AW) and Southwell (AW) providing some competitive all-weather action to keep bookmakers and punters busy through to the evening under the lights. Jumping fans have Ascot, Catterick, Chepstow and Fairyhouse to get stuck into on soft ground, with some decent handicaps to solve at the Berkshire venue alongside a few potential star novices from the top NH yards.

The Carpenter
Ascot 12:50 (UK time)
Nicky Henderson’s novice is one of the more exciting youngsters in the yard, and he seems sure to be primed to make a winning chasing debut at Ascot on Friday. He created a deep impression when winning all three starts over timber last winter, has always been a chaser on looks, and will relish the decent ground expected here under regular rider Nico de Boinville (with dominating this small field from the front the likely plan of attack).

Today’s Value Angle
Copperhead
Ascot 2:00 (UK time)
Joe Tizzard’s reliable 9-y-o handicapper has run with real credit in defeat on all three runs this season, shaping a lot better than the bare result at Exeter last time out (racing up on a rapid contested pace and only gradually fading from three out in a very strong 3m handicap). He will relish a drop back in trip to 2m5f here under the excellent claimer Freddie Gingell, and encouragingly has won on his only completed start at Ascot in the past.
Odds: NA
