Wolves vs Luton Prediction 1: Safety not far from reach
England, Premier League, Saturday, April 27th, 15:00 (UK)
Wolves manager Gary O’Neil is 13.00 with some firms to replace Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
As unlikely as it seems, it is testament to his remarkable campaign in Black Country.
Cast aside by Bournemouth in the summer for want of a better-suited supremo, O’Neil wound up at Wolves, who, for context, were shorter odds (3.75) than Burnley (4.33) to be relegated.
As I write, O’Neil is yet to square off with his former employers but the Wanderers go into the clash with Bournemouth (Wednesday evening) on the cusp of the top half.
For all his good work and deserved recognition, Wanderers kryptonite this season is their form against the poorest sides in the division.
In the seven games against the bottom four, Wolves have only beaten Sheffield United (1-0) and Burnley (1-0) and were fortunate to do so in both games, taking 10 points from the 21 on offer.
I was made to look like a fool for siding with Luton last weekend (they lost 5-1), but I am ready to get hurt all over again. The Hatters +0.5 on the asian handicap is the bet.
- Wolves vs Luton Prediction 1: Luton Asian Handicap (+0.5) (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.90
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 5/10
Wolves vs Luton Prediction 2: Captain fantastic
Wolves have not kept a clean sheet since February and in the Premier League, their only one in 12 games this calendar year came against basement boys Sheffield United (they are yet to play Bournemouth.)
Luton have had no issues finding the net either, in fact, only five top flight teams have kept them at bay this season.
Captain Carlton Morris tops their goalscoring charts this term with nine goals, he also has four assists to his name.
The majority of his goals have come against sides in the bottom half, and with him also on penalty duty, his price appeals to net on Saturday.
With a goals per 90 average of 0.32, the 3.75 price is simply too big.
- Wolves vs Luton Prediction 2: Carlton Morris Anytime Goalscorer (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 3.75
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 2/10
Wolves vs Luton Prediction 3: Taken from behind
Although back-to-back 5-1 defeats may suggest otherwise, Luton almost never know when they are beaten. It is cliche, but it has been a hallmark of their Premier League campaign.
No side has gone behind in more league games this season than Luton (29), yet they have taken 12 points from losing positions, winning two games and drawing sixth. That points haul is the 10th most in the division, more than Arsenal and Manchester United.
At 15.00, backing the visitors to win from behind is worth a tout.
The reverse fixture almost followed this exact script, with Pedro Neto opening the scoring before Morris equalised from the spot with 25 minutes still to play.
Wolves are winless in six and have taken the lead in two of those games, netting in all bar two.
- Wolves vs Luton Prediction 3: Luton to Win from Behind (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 13.00
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 1/10

Wolves vs Luton Team News and Possible Lineups: Absentee
Pablo Sarabia, Mario Lemina and Rayan Ait-Nouri missed the Arsenal game but are expected to start against Bournemouth on Wednesday so the trio should all be fit to play on Saturday.
Craig Dawson, Pedro Neto, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Matheus Cunha could all remain sidelined and Hwang Hee-Chan should lead the line in the letters absence.
Luton were without 11 players in the defeat against Brentford, the majority of which could miss out here.
Elijah Adebayo and Chiedozie Ogbene will be given every chance to make the matchday squad though the trip to the Midlands may come too soon for the pair.
Wolves possible starting lineup:
Sa; S. Bueno, Kilman, Toti; Doherty, Lemina, Gomes, Doyle, Ait-Nouri; Sarabia, Hwang
Luton possible starting lineup:
Kaminski; Burke, Mengi, Osho; Kabore, Lonkonga, Barkley, Doughty; Clark, Chong; Morris
