Fleetwood vs Sheffield Wednesday Best Bet

Tues, 26th April, 19:45 (UK time)

What an intriguing match-up we have here. There is plenty on the line at the business end, as both Championship and League Two football flirts with those involved in Fleetwood.

The home side sits perilously on the outskirts of the relegation places. Fleetwood are level on points with Gillingham but just as threatened with the drop. The big positive siding with the hosts is the game in hand on their fellow strugglers. League One football is in their hands – one win in either of their remaining games ensures safety.

On the other hand, Sheffield Wednesday scraps for the right to be in the conversation for playoffs. Wednesday finds themselves one point behind Plymouth Argyle and Wycombe Wanderers with a game in hand. Again, it’s not just Fleetwood with everything to play for.

Carl Boyeson has the whistle, looking to add to his 3.89 cards per90 League One average this season. The referee has officiated nine games in the division this term whilst also racking up a 4.42 average from his 12 League Two fixtures. In Boyeson’s League One outings, the official has brandished a second half card to each team in 56% of games.

With the fixture’s importance, I’m expecting previous stats to go out of the window. However, Wednesday’s 4.00 total cards per90 figure in the last ten makes for good reading. As does Fleetwood’s 3.50 per90, providing a level of reassurance for card backers.

  • Selection: Over 39.5 Booking Points & Over 9.5 Booking Points Each in Second Half
  • Best Odds: 1.91 (William Hill)
  • Stakes: 10/10

Barnsley vs Blackpool Best Bet

Tues, 26th April, 19:45 (UK time)

Barnsley’s stay in the Championship may be over, but that doesn’t mean all potentially profitable betting angles perish along with relegation.

It’s probably unwise to back a Barnsley result here. Yet, the prop market is an avenue that looks appealing. Most notably, the shot markets.

After his deadline day loan switch, Watford loanee, Domingos Quina, was earmarked as an incoming player to breathe life into the Tykes. Instead, it has been an up and down season for the Portuguese playmaker after a disappointing loan spell at Craven Cottage. With Fulham promoted, Barnsley relegated, and parent club Watford on the verge of the drop, Quina has tasted it all.

After nearly three months in Yorkshire, Quina’s time at Barnsley is grinding to a depressing halt. It’s far from the way he’d want it to end, with just the two goals in terms of goal involvements to his name—an unrecognisable haul from what Barnsley’s hierarchy wished for in January.

Nonetheless, just because Quina has mustered only the two strikes, it doesn’t mean he’s unwilling to have a pop at goal. Instead, since his second loan spell of the season began, Quina averages 1.6 shots per90.

Quina has recorded 3/1/3 attempts at goal in Barnsley’s last three fixtures. Against a Blackpool side with one eye on their summer holidays, I wouldn’t be surprised if he registered similar numbers on Tuesday night.

With Watford preparing for life in the Championship, Quina still has everything to play for. His agenda will be to convince Watford that he can play a pivotal role next season. Quina to hit over 1.5 shots comes in at 2.20 on bet365, one certainly worthy of consideration.

  • Selection: Domingos Quina Over 1.5 Shots
  • Best Odds: 2.10 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 5/10

Exeter vs Barrow Best Bet

Tues, 26th April, 19:45 (UK time)

Oldham Athletic’s relegation resigned the Boundary Park faithful to life outside the football league for the first time in 115 years. The 79th-minute on-pitch protest in their match against Salford shows just what fans think about the current ownership dictating Oldham’s bleak future.

For some, with relegation comes survival. Phil Brown’s Barrow poses as the lucky beneficiary of Oldham’s demise. Two wins and a draw in their last three, including an unexpected thrashing of Forest Green, pencilled in another season in League Two.

The job is done for Phil Brown this season. When taking over the reins for the final eight games, the aim was simple; stay in the football league at all costs.

Now, a trip to Devon’s capital is on the cards. Exeter can clinch promotion with three points, as a content Barrow outfit stands as their first of two remaining obstacles. If The Grecians get the job done, it’ll put to bed a ten-year cycle in League Two.

A bumper crowd will fill St James’ Park, with the club announcing just 150 tickets were available 24 hours prior to the significant clash. At home, Exeter are unbeaten in 11 fixtures this calendar year, winning eight in 2022. Of Exeter’s 24 games in all competitions since the beginning of January, 11 have witnessed Tuesday’s hosts score two or more goals.

With Exeter looking to make history for the first time in a decade at a ground they’ve proved imperious, I’m keen to side with the Grecians.

  • Selection: Exeter Win and Over 1.5 Goals
  • Best Odds: 2.00 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 10/10

WHAT IS A FOOTBALL ACCA?

A  football acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A football acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create football accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the football acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
