The Longshot: High Odds Acca Tips and Predictions on Jimmy’s Rowe to Rock the Boat
Jimmy The Punt’s Longshot: High Odds Acca tips and predictions return in the form of an FA Cup goalscorer, dipping into the anytime (7.00) and brace (101.00) markets.
Premier League Liverpool host Norwich of the Championship and although the hosts recent form has been strong, the backline looks slightly vulnerable. I have sided with the visitors talisman to bloody the nose of the top flight title contenders.

Liverpool vs Norwich: Jonathan Gole and the Quadruple?
England, FA Cup, Sunday January 28th, 14:30 (UK)
Liverpool fended off Fulham on Wednesday to reach the League Cup final. The Reds certainly rode their luck. Andreas Pereira hit the woodwork before Issa Diop’s goal with 14 minutes left prompted a late siege from the Cottagers, but it was to no avail. Liverpool stopper Caoimhin Kelleher was booked for time wasting, so the visitors were rattled, though.
Continuing this week of domestic cup action, next on the roster for the Reds is Norwich in the FA Cup.
Whisper it quietly, but Jurgen Klopp’s side are still on for a quadruple, five points clear at the top of the Premier League, costing in the Europa League and one game away from silverware in the League Cup. A win against the Championship’s Canaries puts them within five games of lifting the FA Cup.
The odds would have you believe Liverpool will be in the hat for the fifth-round draw. As short as 1.07, the implied probability of a home win on Sunday is 93.3%
David Wagner’s side needed a second bite of the cherry to reach this round. After drawing 1-1 with Bristol Rovers, Norwich eventually got the job done at the Memorial Stadium.
Domestically, the Canaries are on the up. The defeat at Elland Road was their first league loss of 2024, the type of form that has hoisted them to within striking distance of the
play-offs.
Shuffling the deck
Wagner shuffled his deck for each of the games with Bristol Rovers, and with a big league clash with Coventry on the horizon, he may do the same in Merseyside. I am hoping the magnitude of this trip to Anfield will yield a strong XI though.
The Canaries were handed a massive boost this week as Wagner confirmed he has had no indications that star man Jonathan Rowe will leave this January despite reports linking him with the Premier League.
Rowe has been the shining light in an otherwise meagre term for the Norfolk club.
Prior to this season, Rowe had only made 13 appearances for Norwich but has emerged as a key figure, starting 24 of their 28 league games.
His price to score anytime is worth a flutter at 7.00. It has shortened a point since the markets dropped, but with some firms pinning this at 4.50 the value remains as it’s an 8% difference in implied probability. Rowe certainly divides opinion with the bookmarkers.
At 1.80 to score over at least once, Norwich is expected to find the net, and I think it makes the most sense to nail your colours to the Rowe mast.
Liverpool aren’t impenetrable either, conceding in each of their last four games at Anfield. Since the beginning of December, the Reds have conceded eight times on home soil in six matches.
The potential absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohammed Salah is also a factor. Although the former is ahead of schedule, this match should come too soon for the full-back.

Liverpool vs Norwich: He Can’t, Can He?
England, FA Cup, Sunday January 28th, 14:30 (UK)
The 20-year-old midfielder has netted 12 goals domestically, the fourth most in the second tier, and had a direct hand in 16 goals in all competitions, including a double in the East Anglian derby to earn a point with title contenders Ipswich.
At 101.00, I certainly wouldn’t mind another brace this Sunday and this is the tout here. It certainly has a whiff of value with the same bet as short as 33/1 with other firms.
Obviously, the chances of Norwich netting twice is very slim, 1% to be exact. But if anyone could, it would be Jonathan Rowe.
