The Longshot: High Odds Acca Tips and Predictions - Jimmy’s KISS
The Jimmy The Punt’s Longshot: High Odds Acca tips and predictions return in the form of a trio of braces at 158.12, all backed as a Trixie.
Sometimes, you do not need to overcomplicate things; keep it simple stupid (KISS). There are three sides in League One and League Two that are heavily odds on to win, so the bet is their talisman to score twice.
Last weekend, we had the first winner of the season at a cool 3.80 due to a postponement and a push. The weekend before, we were left frustrated as a pair of players I picked to be carded duly were (Philip Billing and Jack Robinson at 15.00), but Unibet voided the bet because Billing started on the bench.
The third time’s a charm, I reckon.

Blackpool vs Carlisle: Rhodes a runner
England, League One, Saturday December 9th, 15:00 (UK)
Depending on where you’re from, you could count on one hand the number of times Blackpool have lost domestically this term. Half of their six defeats have come against the top six sides.
I think the Tangerines league games since the beginning of November sum up their sporadic nature pretty well. Honours were shared in a six-goal thriller at Fleetwood, then 2nd placed Bolton beat them 1-0.
Blackpool then thumped Shrewsbury 4-0 and beat top-of-the-league Portsmouth by the same scoreline at Fratton Park, ending a run of 27 games unbeaten on home turf. Do you think Neil Critchley’s side kicked on after that? Nope, Northampton beat them 2-1 in their last game.
On their day, Blackpool can annihilate the very best but are also capable of dropping points to bottom half sides.
What type of Blackpool performance are you going to get? With Carlisle in town next, I am hoping for some vintage Critchley.
Only two players in League One have found the net more times than Jordan Rhodes this season (11).
He has only hit more than one goal in one game once but must fancy his chances against a side in the relegation zone.
Forest Green vs Wrexham: Mullin it over
England, League Two, Saturday December 9th, 15:00 (UK)
In League Two, Forest Green ranks second worst for points (15), wins (4) and goals scored (20). They have conceded 35 times (third worst total) and have the worst goal difference (-15). You get the picture; they are bad.
Away from home, they have struggled. In five of their eight games, the Green Devils have conceded at least three goals; they have conceded four or more on three occasions whilst once conceding five times.
So, you have to worry for David Horseman’s side during their trip to the Racecourse against the division’s entertainers.
Only Swindon have scored more goals (43) than the Red Dragons in total (42).
In a season blighted with injury, Paul Mullin has only found the net seven times, but the good news is they appear to come in gluts. He hit a brace against Crewe to end a run of three league games without a goal; then he went another three without scoring again before bagging five in five, culminating in a hattrick against Morecambe.
Yes, he does his best work at the Racecourse, but he will fancy his chances against one of the division’s whipping boys as he begins to gain fitness and form.
Notts County vs Walsall: Langstaff deals in pairs
England, League Two, Saturday December 9th, 15:00 (UK)
In the fourth tier, Macaulay Langstaff was one of the ante-post favourites for the Golden Boot.
This wasn’t a surprise, considering he bagged 42 goals in the National League, a feat made even more impressive by the fact he was not even on penalties.
This campaign, he has picked up where he left off, finding the net 14 times, which puts him two points off the pace in the top goalscorer race, though at 3.50, he is the bookie’s favourite to grab the accolade.
The majority of the frontman’s goals have come in pairs, though. Langstaff has hit the double on five separate occasions already this campaign, frustratingly though he has not taken home the match ball.
He could cause some damage against Walsall, a side in freefall.
They may be six points above the dotted line but have only won one of their last nine, and that came against non-leaguers Sheppey United.
The Sadlers are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road domestically and County have only failed to score in one game at Meadow Lane. In their three home games against the current bottom, Luke Williams’ side have scored nine times.
