Sweden Women vs Portugal Women Best Bet
Women’s European Championships, Sunday, 17th July, 17:00 (UK Time)
Portugal may have mustered just the one point since arriving on English soil, but that doesn’t mean they’ve disappointed the onlooking crowds. On the contrary, in their first two games, Portugal found the net five times (3-2 & 2-2), suggesting they know where the goal is.
That never say die attitude can stand them in good stead against the Swedish in a game Portugal simply have to win to progress. The Swedes and the Dutch lead the group by a three point-margin to Portugal and Switzerland’s solitary point, meaning Group C is firmly up for grabs.
Unlike Portugal, Sweden has flattered to deceive at the Euros so far. It has been a sluggish start from the side who haven’t lost a match since before the COVID outbreak. There’s a sense that the Swedes have a few more gears to rattle through yet, and whichever team bears witness to that shift in performance may succumb to an uncomfortable 90-minutes.
Given what’s on the line and Portugal proving they can be a clinical force moving up the pitch, you’d be brave to back against them getting on the scoresheet again. BTTS has landed in all four Group C matches so far. Yet, we can back both teams to muscle in on the goalscoring action at odds-against on bet365. I’m not quite sure why given the game state, but I’m not complaining.
Sweden arrive as the better team here, but this Portugal outfit are a spirited bunch and shouldn’t be written off.
- Selection: BTTS
- Best Odds: 2.10 (bet365)
- Stakes: 10/10

Netherlands Women vs Switzerland Women Best Bet
Women’s European Championships, Sunday, 17th July, 17:00 (UK Time)
If the football gods are playing ball and willing to stick to the script, this may well be a routine Netherlands victory. But, despite the clamour for the Dutch and some fancying them to go all the way, this sport is not always one that sides with preconceived ideas and notions.
Like Sweden, the Netherlands enter their final group game in a steady position in the group, with a draw confirming their passage into the knockouts. However, if Switzerland manages to do a number on the Dutch and put a few goals past them in the process, the Swiss will progress themselves.
Now, that is a big ask, seeing the supposed gap in quality, but there is hope still alive. Vivianne Miedema’s positive COVID test will have breathed new life into the Swiss ahead of the final fixture in a group that has been a fantastic, unpredictable advert for the Euros.
Unfortunately for Switzerland, even with the loss of Arsenal’s Miedema, the Netherlands will likely prove too decisive in the final third. Nevertheless, the 3.25 available for the Netherlands to take the win and Switzerland to have their say certainly caught my eye.
- Selection: Netherlands Win and BTTS
- Best Odds: 3.25 (bet365)
- Stakes: 10/10

Náutico vs Chapecoense Best Bet
Brazil, Serie B, Sunday, 17th July, 20:00 (UK Time)
Brazil’s Série B supplies us with the next pick. Both Náutico and Chapecoense find themselves near the doldrums of their homeland’s second division.
The season ahead looks bleak – Náutico has edged into the relegation places in 17th, whilst their Sunday visitors sit not far off in 15th, having lost four of five matches. Náutico’s recent performances (1W/3D/1L) paint a prettier picture, but it’s a vein of form that’s desperate for longevity if Serie B is to be their home next campaign.
Given the current situation of both clubs, the 1.775 offered for Náutico’s 0.0 Asian handicap is one that’s somewhat tempting. However, despite their lowly league position and a reluctance to side with a team struggling for wins, I feel it’s a reasonable price. Náutico have lost just three of nine matches at the Aflitos in 2022. Interestingly, those occupying Sunday’s away dressing room have done their best work on the road up until this point – winning three of nine and losing just twice.
Although the corner markets aren’t yet out for Sunday’s match-up, a Náutico corner-focused selection could be another angle into the game. In Serie B this term, the hosts average 7.22 corners per90 compared to Chapecoense’s 3.89 per90 on the road.
- Selection: Náutico +0 Asian Handicap
- Best Odds: 1.775 (bet365)
- Stakes: 10/10

WHAT IS A FOOTBALL ACCA?
A football acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A football acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create football accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the football acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
