Acca odds: 36.65

Bochum vs Bayer Leverkusen: Alonso’s Men are More Vulnerable

Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 9th November, 14:30 (UK)

Bochum survived the relegation playoff in dramatic fashion last season but that hasn’t inspired them at the start of the current campaign. The team has just one point after nine league matches, leaving them stranded at the bottom of the Bundesliga.

Bayer Leverkusen secured the title by going unbeaten last season but retaining that crown looks set to be a tall order. Xabi Alonso’s men have only lost one match but a host of draws mean they sit seven points behind the league leaders.

Die Unabsteigbaren have shown plenty of attacking impetus, particularly on home turf, but the quality is lacking. However, they are averaging 13.25 shots per league game at the Ruhrstadion. They have had more shots overall than RB Leipzig, who are 2nd in the division.

Leverkusen have the knack for getting themselves out of trouble but defensive frailties are an issue. They have kept just one clean sheet in nine league matches. As a result, their opponents are averaging 10.89 shots per game. This drastically increases to 15 when Alonso’s side are away from home.

  • Selection: Over 9.5 Shots For Bochum (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt: Attacking Sides go Toe-to-Toe

Germany, Bundesliga, Sunday, 10th November, 16:30 (UK)

Stuttgart finished 2nd in the German top flight last season but have struggled to string together a run of victories this term. Sebastian Hoeneß’s side have won just one of their last five Bundesliga matches but they remain just three points behind 4th place thanks to three draw during that run.

Eintracht will be delighted with the start they have made. They have lost just once in their last seven league matches. Die Adler were hugely impressive as they hammered Bochum 7-2 last weekend. Expect another attacking display with plenty of chances here.

Hoeneß’s team’s home matches have seen an average of 28.75 shots per game so far this season. Stuttgart’s willingness to attack quickly with fast counters and desire to win the ball back high up the pitch means there is potential for the shot count to saor against a very open opponent on Sunday.

Frankfurt’s matches have seen an average of 31.67 shots so far, more than any other side’s in the Bundesliga. There have been 29 shots or more in their last eight league outings.

  • Selection: Over 28.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Cagliari vs Milan: The Home Side Can Have Success

Italy, Serie A, Saturday, 9th November, 17:00 (UK)

Cagliari sit just outside of the relegation zone heading into the weekend. They have two wins in their 11 league matches so far this season, the most recent of which came against Torino on the 20th of October. Rossoblu have also failed to win any of their last 13 against the Rossoneri.

Milan made the call to sack Stefano Pioli in the summer and replace him with Paulo Fonseca. There was a desire amongst the club’s hierarchy to see a more attacking team represent the Rossoneri but the start of this season hasn’t seen the team meet those expectations. Milan are 7th in the league and there is real pressure on the manager.

Despite their woes, Cagliari have been getting a fair amount of shots away. They average 13.27 attempts per game in the league. At home, their shot count increases to an average of 15.83 per outing.

Keeping their opponents under wraps has been a problem for Milan, especially when they don’t have the backing of the San Siro. Fonseca’s side have conceded 12 or more shots in their last three matches on the road. The Rossoneri have also conceded 13 shots or more on their last three visits to this ground.

  • Selection: Over 11.5 Shots Cagliari (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.90
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Inter Milan vs Napoli: End-to-End Battle for Top Spot

Italy, Serie A, Sunday, 10th November, 19:45 (UK)

Inter Milan won last season’s Serie A title with ease, finishing 19 points ahead of 2nd palace. However, they come into this game behind Napoli in the table. Simone Inzaghi’s side have lost just one of their 11 league games but three draws mean they sit behind Sunday’s opponents.

Antonio Conte’s arrival in Naples has sparked belief and rightly so. Napoli won the 22/23 Scudetto by finishing 16 points ahead of their rivals but they wound up finishing 10th last season. The new manager has made them contenders once more but the 3-0 home defeat against Atalanta last weekend will gave set some alarm bells ringing.

The Nerazzurri have had the most shots in the top tier of Italian football so far with an average of 16.18 per game. Therefore, their matches have seen an average of 26 shots. Inter take on a side that is also very capable going forward here.

Conte’s side have mustered up an average of 14.09 shots per game. There is an average of 25.09 shots when Napoli take to the field. Shot numbers in recent clashes with Inter have also been high. Our bet has won in the last four meetings with an average of 28 attempts.

  • Selection: Over 24.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Getafe vs Girona: Getafe Embracing Spoilers Role

Spain, La Liga, Sunday, 10th November, 17:30 (UK)

Getafe lack the quality to venture further up the La Liga table. They are light on numbers and scoring goals has been a problem but there are aspects of the game that Getafe do very well. Jose Bordalas’ side are conceding just 0.83 goals per game. Their compact pressing and study defence makes them difficult to break down.

Girona’s ascent from newly-promoted team to Champions League qualifiers was meteoric but that shouldn’t come as a surprise given their affiliation with City Football Group. They finished 3rd ahead of Atletico Madrid last season but there are signs of a hangover in the current campaign, with the team languishing in 12th place.

Geta Azulones have conceded an average of eight shots per game in the league thus far, way below the league average of 12. Despite averaging 24% less possession per game than Barcelona, they have managed to concede fewer shots. Getafe’s opponents have had nine shots or less in all six of their home matches with an average of 4.5 per game.

Michel’s side have struggled on the road. Girona have one win in six league away matches but most importantly, they have had under 10.5 shots in the last three. This bet has als landed on two of their last three visits to this ground.

  • Selection: Under 10.5 Shots For Girona (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.72
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Real Sociedad vs Barcelona: Flick’s Firing Attack

Spain, La Liga, Sunday, 10th November, 20:00 (UK)

Real Sociedad have really struggled to get going this season. Keeping Martin Zubimendi was a huge boost to the club in the summer but that hasn’t helped them secure results. The team have picked up just one home win in six league outings at the Reale Arena.

Hansi Flick has his Barcelona team sitting pretty at the top of La Liga have won 11 of their 12 matches. They are on pace to set the record for most goals scored and points won in a single season in Spain. The Blaugrana beat Real Madrid 4-0 in their last domestic away game so they will have no dear heading to Sociedad.

Txuri-Urdin don’t concede a lot of shots. Their opponents are averaging just 11.25 per game in the league but Barcelona should prove to be an exception to the rule this season. Sociedad have already hosted Real Madrid this season and allowed the Los Blancos to have 16 shots in that one.

Barcelona are averaging the most shots per game in La Liga 1ith 17.08, 1.08 more than Real Madrid. This decreases marginally to 17 in their away games.

  • Selection: Over 15.5 Shots For Barcelona (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10
