A douse of the Nations League accompanying a hearty feast of Under 21 Euro qualification is on the menu on Saturday evening. The Welsh and the Scots should approach their respective matches a little differently, whilst the Gibraltans may well be in for another hammering. Whatever the outcome, the bettingexpert team thinks we’ve unearthed a few value plays for your weekend viewing.

Ireland vs Scotland Best Bet

Nations League, Saturday, 11th June, 17:00 (UK time)

Although struck a bitter blow in the hunt for World Cup qualification, this Scotland side is littered with quality.

Compared to their Irish counterparts, you’d have to say that the bridge in talent is getting wider. Players such as Robertson, McGinn, McGregor, and Tierney are more than capable of mixing it at the highest level. With the better components at Steve Clarke’s disposal, and one potentially in a more well-rounded place form-wise, I’m keen to keep this wager a simple one.

Scotland’s 0.0 Asian handicap comes in just shy of evens. If, like me, you struggle to see the Irish taking all three points following a disastrous foray into the Nations League this summer, it could be the perfect shout. Protected by stake returns in the event of a draw, it seems a relatively safe punt despite home advantage in Dublin.

Two 1-0 Irish results to a poor, Mkhitaryan-less Armenia side and a fully-rested Ukrainian eleven makes for grim viewing. Regardless of the hefty share of possession in Armenia, Ireland only registered two shots on target. However, the hosts managed three themselves, maybe a nod towards the hosts deserving the 1-0 score-line.

It should be a hotly contested affair, and I don’t expect Scotland to run away with it. Nonetheless, Ireland will need to be firing at all cylinders to snatch the win here, making the 1.97 punt an intriguing one.

  • Selection: Scotland 0.0 Asian Handicap
  • Best Odds: 1.97 (William Hill)
  • Stakes: 10/10

Gibraltar U21s vs Bulgaria U21s Best Bet

U21s Euro Qualification, Saturday, 11th June, 19:00 (UK time)

Gibraltar Under 21s have navigated eight games in the Euro qualification group by an aggregate score-line of 0-38. Included in that sizable 38 was Bulgaria’s 5-0 October whitewash last year. Lik

The suggested selection landed in 6/8 of Gibraltar’s qualifiers, with the 1-0 loss vs Moldova and the most recent 6-0 defeat at the hands of the Netherlands the exceptions. Somehow, the Dutch reached the half-time whistle at honours even before running riot in the second 45—hairdryer treatment springs to mind.

In terms of the lay of the land in the group, neither have anything to play for. Qualification for the Euros is long gone, but pride and putting a marker down in international colours are still well up for grabs.

  • Selection: Bulgaria Goal Each Half & BTTS No
  • Best Odds: 1.95 (William Hill)
  • Stakes: 10/10

Wales U21 vs Netherlands U21 Best Bet

U21s Euro Qualification, Saturday, 11th June, 17:00 (UK time)

In the same qualification group as Gibraltar and Bulgaria, it’s Wales’ turn to welcome a hungry Dutch outfit to their patch. The Netherlands have been nothing short of superb in qualifying, conceding just three goals and remaining unbeaten in nine.

Again, there is nothing on the line here; it’s a chance for either side to try and build momentum for their next escapade. Yet, the odds for more of the same to continue is something I cannot ignore. Erwin van de Looi’s young Oranges will be mindful that they have a starting eleven spot yet to be cemented.

On the other hand, Wales will likely finish the qualification stages with a whimper. The Welsh’s only positive highlights from eight matches came against a dreadful Gibraltar side and a Bulgaria team not too far behind. A 5-0 drubbing in October’s meeting between the pair suggests any positives for the home crowd may come in the shape of their lads keeping the score down.

The visitors on Saturday brag a 3.44 goals per90 total throughout their nine matches, conceding 0.33 per90 at the other end. If these figures can continue for one more fixture, the 2.62 offered at William Hill will prove a steal.

  • Selection: Netherlands Win, BTTS No & Over 1.5 Goals
  • Best Odds: 2.62 (William Hill)
  • Stakes: 7.5/10 – 0.75u tracked.

WHAT IS A FOOTBALL ACCA?

A  football acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A football acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create football accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the football acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
