Real Madrid vs Girona Tip 1: Hosts To Win A Classic
Spain, La Liga, Saturday, February 10th, 17:30 (UK)
This game is massive. It’s huge. Girona need to beat Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu to maintain their slim chance of winning the title. The hosts have been excellent, and Jude Bellingham has been magnificent. It’s Real Madrid’s season, surely?
Ancelotti’s men are overwhelming favourites here. The average price available for them to claim three points is 1.49. Michel’s Girona are as big as 6.0 in places. It could be worth a shot in backing the underdog, but getting against Los Blancos feels incredibly difficult.
I expect the hosts to win; it won’t be easy, given just how impressive Girona have been this season. BTTS is trending around the 1.60 mark, which is more than reasonable when you take everything into account.
A home win and both sides to score is priced at 2.70. Real have won 18 of 22 matches this term, and eight of those encounters have seen this selection bank. Girona have bagged in 20 of their 23 outings this campaign, and they’ll fancy themselves in getting on the scoresheet in a mightily important fixture.
- Real Madrid vs Girona Tip 1: Real Madrid To Win and BTTS (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 2.70

Real Madrid vs Girona Tip 2: Second Half Shenanigans
Spain, La Liga, Saturday, February 10th, 17:30 (UK)
I expect this game to really get going after the break. That’s what tends to happen at this venue. Real Madrid have played ten times here this season in the league, not on any occasion has there been more goals scored in the first half in comparison to the second 45.
Girona will want to keep themselves in this encounter. They’ll respect the home side and may take a cautious approach early on. Michel’s side have scored more and conceded a greater amount after the halftime break when playing away from home.
Overall, six of Real Madrid’s previous seven outings in La Liga have seen this selection win. In those seven matches, Los Blancos have scored just three times in the first half with 11 strikes arriving after the break. Ancelotti’s men can turn it on whenever they please; they don’t panic in difficult situations, and they always find a way to get themselves over the line.
It’s a price that’s worth playing. We often see matches have a lengthy amount of stoppage time. Two of the previous three Real Madrid games have gone over the 100-minute mark. Desperation is always a factor in high-profile matches like this one; if a side is chasing in the latter stages, then the game will open right up, which will allow plenty of goal opportunities.
- Real Madrid vs Girona Tip 2: Half With Most Goals: Second (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.95
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 6/10
Real Madrid vs Girona Tip 3: Get It In The Mixer
Spain, La Liga, Saturday, February 10th, 17:30 (UK)
Starting Joselu will be a smart move from Ancelotti. The Spaniard is tall, standing at 192cm and will thrive against a Girona side that lacks height. Eric Garcia (182cm) and Daley Blind (180cm) will be expected to start at central defence for the visitors, and Joselu will have a significant advantage in the air.
The 33-year-old has scored seven times this term; three of his goals have come from this head. There’s no doubt that he poses a threat in the air. He scored a header against Getafe and is a chunky price to score another on Saturday.
The goal line is set at 3.25, meaning goals are expected. Joselu is priced at 2.50 in the AGS markets, which is probably fair. However, I think there’s plenty of value in taking the header.
As much as Girona have been phenomenal this term, they’re over-performing defensively. Michel’s side has shipped 25 goals this term. From an xGA standpoint, they should’ve really conceded six more. Real Madrid will create plenty of goal-scoring opportunities at home, just like they usually do.
- Real Madrid vs Girona Tip 3: Joselu To Score A Header (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 8.00
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 1/10

Real Madrid vs Girona Team News and Possible Lineups: Dovbyk’s Absence Is A Huge Blow
Alaba and Courtois are out for the season. Militao isn’t due back anytime soon. Los Blancos will have the rest of their squad available for this clash. Jude Bellingham will be the heartbeat of the team, and the midfield is where this game can be won.
Artem Dovbyk is not expected to play here. He’s carrying a knee injury, which is a huge blow. Girona will rely on Savio, Tsygankov and Portu for goals. The same side who drew with Sociedad should be expected to start again here.
Real Madrid possible starting lineup:
Lunin, Carvajal, Rudiger, Fernandez, Mendy, Camavinga, Kroos, Valverde, Bellingham, Rodrygo, Vinicius JR.
Girona possible starting lineup:
Gazzaniga, Couto, Garcia, Blind, Gutierrez, Herrera, Garcia, Tsygankov, Martin, Savio, Portu.
