PSG vs Lille Prediction: Team News and Best Bets Preview
The big Saturday evening clash in Ligue 1 is PSG vs Lille and we have a prediction, team news and bet builder preview. French expert Steve Wyss gives us the lowdown in the capital at The Parc de Princes.
PSG are well clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table but will want to keep their foot on the gas pedal heading into a busy period. Lille were the last team to win the Ligue 1 title off them and in the aftermath this has become a spicy battle. The visitors travel after a convincing 4-0 victory last weekend so should be confident.

PSG vs Lille Prediction: Goals to keep flowing in Paris
France, Ligue 1, Saturday 10th February, 20:00 (UK)
The goals have been coming thick and fast in PSG home games this season. Nine of their ten fixtures in front of their own fans have resulted in over 2.5 goals, and fixtures have averaged 3.7 goals per game. Obviously, a big reason is PSG’s impressive firepower, and no team has scored more goals at home in Ligue 1. They are an offensive juggernaut at times, but opposing teams have fancied their chances of netting vs them this season. Brest came from 0-2 down to draw here recently, and there has been a noticeable change from opponents coming here to park the bus.
Lille allows the fewest shots of any team in Ligue 1, but this match must be treated differently in isolation. PSG has always raised their game for Lille ever since Les Dogues won a shock title during the COVID era. Les Parisians have won four of the last five head-to-head meetings, scoring a whopping 19 goals in the process.
Lille will fight fire with fire here, and they themselves have a high number of SOT in each game. All is set for a swashbuckling contest, so over 3 Asian Goals at an odds-against price makes for a strong appeal.
- PSG vs Lille Prediction: Over 3 Asian Goals (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 2.06
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 10/10
PSG vs Lille Tip 2: Mbappe to make his mark against Lille
There is huge attention on Kylian Mbappe right now, even more so than usual. The French captain is being strongly linked to Real Madrid in the summer and has been in the headlines continually. Mbappe likes the attention and usually wants to lay down a marker during periods like this. He’s scored at least one goal in seven of his last eight matches, netting a total of 11 goals during this period. He missed from the penalty spot last week at Strasbourg but still managed to get on the scoresheet.
Mbappe is an automatic anytime scorer bet when his price is 1.75 or above. That is the case here, and the dangling carrot is too big to ignore. He has an outstanding record against Lille, scoring 11 times against them in 9 appearances. They are one of his favourite clubs to score against, and at odds of 1.83, it’s worth backing him to continue this rich vein of form while he’s in the spotlight.
- PSG vs Lille Tip 2: Kylian Mbappe to Score Anytime (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.83
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 9/10
PSG vs Lille Tip 3: Jonathan David to continue his hot streak
Jonathan David was labelled by some prominent social media accounts as ‘one of the most overrated CONCACAF players’ towards the back end of 2023. He hadn’t lived up to the heights of the previous campaign, but there have been some recent signs that he is back firing again. A hatrick of both goals and assists in the French Cup vs Golden Lion seemed to restart his motor. He’s since followed it up by scoring vs Lorient and then a brace of goals at home to Clermont last week.
Let’s not forget that he netted a late equalizer vs PSG in December, and he’s scored on both of his last two trips to The Parc des Princes. David feels like a player to watch out for in the second half of the season, and odds of 3.75 look big for him to get on the scoresheet. He is Lille’s primary threat in attack and is capable of causing problems to this Parisian backline. He will likely be on penalty duty as well, so he looks like one of the best value bets in this fixture.
- PSG vs Lille Tip 3: Jonathan David to Score Anytime (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 3.40
- Bookmaker: Bet365
- Stake: 7/10
