Scott Thornton brings you his Premier League props acca tips as club football gets back underway.

Tottenham and West Ham get things going in Saturday’s early game. Later that day, we have Manchester United vs Brentford to look forward to before Arsenal head to Bournemouth. Liverpool vs Chelsea tops the billing on Sunday but Manchester City are in action against Wolves before then. On Monday, Nottingham Forest host Crystal Palace.

Acca odds: 35.08

Tottenham vs West Ham: Hammers’ Throws on the Road

England, Premier League, Saturday, 19th October, 12:30 (UK)

Tottenham host West Ham in the first of the Premier League games after the international break. Ange Postecoglou’s side let a two-goal lead slip as they were beaten 3-2 by Brighton in their last match, which saw them drop to 9th in the table. They are now four points behind 4th place and won’t want to give up any more ground.

Julen Loptegui took over from David Moyes in the summer. The former Wolves and Spain boss had an excellent reputation but there have been some struggles in the early stages of his West Ham tenure.

Throw numbers have dwindled so far this season but over 33.5 looks a solid bet here. There have been 34 throws or more in all three of Totteham’s home matches with an average of 35.33 per game.

West Ham matches have seen an average of 33.86 throws, around the required mark for this bet to land. However, this average increases to 40 if we only include the data from their away matches.

  • Selection: Over 33.5 Throws In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.72
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Manchester United vs Brentford: An Uneventful Affair at Old Trafford

England, Premier League, Saturday, 19th October, 15:00 (UK)

Confidence is certainly lacking at Old Trafford. Erik Ten Hag has overseen Manchester United’s worst-ever start to a Premier League season, beating the record they set last season. The Dutchman remains in the job for now but a poor run of results could spell the end of his reign.

Brentford are three places and two points ahead of the Red Devils ahead of Saturday’s encounter.  The Bees put five past Wolves as they secured three points in their last fixture. This is seemingly a good opportunity for them to secure an away win over Manchester United.

Manchester United have gone some way towards addressing the issues of last season despite the poor results. Ten Hag’s side are no longer conceding an exorbitant amount of shots. As a result, their matches this season have seen an average of 24.86 shots, the fourth fewest in the league.

There have been 28 shots or less in two of Brentford’s three away games with an average of 27.33 per game. This bet has also won in two of their last three matches at this ground.

  • Selection: Under 28.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Bournemouth vs Arsenal: Iraola’s Approach Aids Tackle Count

England, Premier League, Saturday, 19th October, 17:30 (UK)

Bournemouth made a torrid start to the last campaign so the eight points they will be delighted with the eight points they have picked up so far. The Cherries were busy in the transfer window and it could take some time for a few of their signings to bed in. They will need everyone to be at their best if they are to beat Arsenal.

The Gunners are 3rd, one point behind the league leaders but they are the bookmaker’s favourites to win the title. Mikel Arteta’s side remain unbeaten and have dropped points in just two matches. They received a red card in both of those games.

The Cherries are willing to press intensely under Andoni Iraola. Their average of 20.29 tackles per game is the fifth-highest in the league. Their matches have seen an average of 38.57 tackles overall.

Arsenal are forcing an average of 18.29 tackles per Premier League game this season. Their matches have seen an average of 36 tackles but there have been 37 or more in two of their three matches on the road. There were 44 tackles when Arsenal played at this ground last season.

  • Selection: Over 36.5 Tackles In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Wolves vs Manchester City: The Home Side Can Offer Something Going Forward

England, Premier League, Sunday, 20th October, 14:00 (UK)

Wolves were handed a difficult start when the fixtures were announced. As a result, they are still searching for their first win of the campaign. The games don’t get much tougher than their home clash with Manchester City this weekend but Gary O’Neil’s side were able to win in this fixture last term.

Pep Guardiola’s side became the first team to win the Premier League for four consecutive seasons as they pipped Arsenal to the post. They have made a strong start to this season, winning five and drawing two. City will be braced for a hard-fought title race once again so there is no room for error, even at this early stage.

Gary O’Neil’s team are averaging 11.29 shots per game this season. The have had eight shots or more in all seven of their matches, which includes the clash with Liverpool, who have conceded just two goals in the league.

Manchester City are conceding the fewest attempts in the division with their opponents averaging eight per game but this rises to 10.33 across their three away matches. Over 7.5 shots for the opposition has landed in all of those trips.

  • Selection: Over 7.5 Shots For Wolves (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 2.00
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Liverpool vs Chelsea: Intriguing Tactical Battle

England, Premier League, Sunday, 20th October, 16:30 (UK)

Arne Slot has certainly hit the ground running at Anfield. The Dutchman had big boots to fill but he has steered Liverpool to nine wins in 10 competitive matches and they sit top of the Premier League. The Reds also boast the best defensive record in England’s top flight.

Chelsea also appointed a new manager in the summer. Enzo Maresca will also be happy with the way he has started at his new club. The Blues sit 4th in the table, just four points behind Liverpool. They have won all three of their away matches in the league thus far.

Liverpool matches have seen the third-fewest shots in the league with an average of 24.43 per game. This is largely down to their defensive solidity but their attacking approach is more patient than in previous years. There have been 28 shots or less in six of the Reds’ seven league matches under Slot.

The Blues’ matches have 27.57 shots on average and this bet has landed in two of their three away games. The last five head-to-heads between these sides have seen an average of 25 attempts.

  • Selection: Under 28.5 Shots In the Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace: Tackles Soar When the Eagles Take to the Field

England, Premier League, Monday, 21st October, 20:00 (UK)

Nottingham Forest sit in the top half of the Premier League heading into matchday eight. They impressed in their 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge before the international break but they have a few absentees this weekend. Morgan Gibbs-White is a crucial player for Nuno Espirito Santo and he is unlikely to feature.

Oliver Glasner made an instant impact when he took over at Crystal Palace last season. His team made a strong finish to the campaign but they have been unable to carry that momentum into this season. The Eagles have failed to secure a league win as of yet.

Two of Nottingham Forest’s three home matches so far have seen 40 tackles or more. There were 37 and 38 tackles when they squared off against Crystal Palace last season.

Crystal Palace matches saw the most tackles in the division last season with an average of 40.39 per game. The Eagles have a number of players who like to run with the ball and this lends itself nicely to tackles. Their away matches so far this season have sen 37.33 tackles on average.

  • Selection: Over 35.5 Tackles in The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.72
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10
