Wolves vs Tottenham: A Toothless Pack of Wolves

England, Premier League, Saturday, November 11th, 17:30 (UK)

Wolves’ tricky start to the season continues on Saturday when they take on Tottenham. They have already faced six of the Premier League’s current top seven at Molineux this season and picked up just one win at home. Gary O’Neil’s side are six points clear of the bottom three coming into this one.

Tottenham missed the chance to return to the top of the table Monday night. They were reduced to nine men as they lost 4-1 to Chelsea. Ange Postecoglou now needs his players to rally and bounce back.

Gary O’Neil’s side are averaging just 11.73 shots per game in the league. This is well below the average of 13.32 shots per team in a match. This number drops to just 9.8 in their home matches, and the line looks a little high here.

This bet has won in five of Tottenham’s six Premier League matches, including at the Emirates. Over the course of those six matches, their opponents averaged 12.67 shots. Spurs conceded just eight shots in this fixture last season.

  • Selection: Under 13.5 Shots For Wolves
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Arsenal vs Burnley: The Clarets Set to be Gunned Down

England, Premier League, Saturday, November 11th, 15:00 (UK)

Arsenal seized control of their Champions League group midweek by coasting past Sevilla. They will now want to return to winning ways in the Premier League after they were left to fume about Newcastle’s decisive goal last weekend. The Gunners are unbeaten in eight home matches this season.

Burnley have lost their last four league matches. Their only win of the season so far came against Luton, and there is plenty of cause for concern for Vincent Kompany ahead of this one. The Clarets lost 2-0 at home Crystal Palace last weekend, and it would take a brave, or foolish, man to back them to get anything at the Emirates.

Arsenal have been solid since the start of the season, but they don’t carry quite the level of menace they did last season. They are averaging 14.83 shots per game at home, but this clash with Burnley is an opportunity to exceed that mark.

Vincent Kompany’s side have the 2nd highest xGA in the Premier League, and they are facing 17.6 shots per away game on average. Newcastle and Brentford are the only sides in the top half they have faced on the road. They conceded 20 and 23 shots in those matches.

  • Selection: Over 18.5 Shots For Arsenal
  • Best Odds: 1.72
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Bournemouth vs Newcastle: Bournemouth Braced for Battle

England, Premier League, Saturday, November 11th, 17:30 (UK)

Last weekend, Bournemouth dropped into the bottom three, with Luton earning a point at home to Liverpool. The Cherries have picked up just one win this season. That came at home to fellow strugglers, Burnley. Andoni Iraola is under immense pressure to turn things around, but they face a stern test this weekend.

Newcastle suffered disappointment in the Champions League midweek, but they are in fine form domestically. Eddie Howe’s side are unbeaten in nine matches, excluding European competition. They edged past Arsenal last weekend and can close the gap on the top four with a win here.

The Cherries’ home matches have seen an average of 39 tackles per game. Their matches overall have seen the 4th most tackles in the Premier League. The 36 tackle mark required for this bet to win has been reached in five of their six matches at the Vitality Stadium.

The Geordies matches on the road have seen much less tackles. However, they have taken on two opponents who were in the bottom half of the table at the time of their trip. There were 44 and 38 tackles in those matches.

  • Selection: Over 35.5 Tackles In The Match
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

West Ham vs Nottingham Forest: The Hammer without the Tongs

England, Premier League, Sunday, November 12th, 14:00 (UK)

West Ham were in fine form at the start of the season, but that has dissipated in recent matches. The Hammers were knocking on the door for a European place prior to the defeat at Villa Park. They are now on a three-match losing run in the Premier League and have dropped out of the top half.

Nottingham Forest ended their six-match wait for a win by beating Aston Villa last weekend. Steve Cooper’s men battled against relegation for much of last season, but they have their sights set higher this campaign. They can move above West Ham with a win here.

West Ham’s matches have seen the 4th fewest tackles in the Premier League so far this season. Their home matches are averaging just 30 per game, with this bet landing in four of the five.

Forest’s away matches are averaging 34 tackles per game, but this bet has landed in the two most recent head-to-heads between the slides. There were 28 tackles in this fixture last season and 32 in the meeting at the City Ground.

  • Selection: Under 32.5 Tackles In The Match
  • Best Odds: 1.90
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Brighton vs Sheffield United: The Blades May need a Shield

England, Premier League, Sunday, November 12th, 14:00 (UK)

Brighton earned plenty of plaudits for the way they started the season, but the wheels have come off in recent weeks. They have failed to win any of their last five Premier League matches, but they are still hanging on the coattails of the top six.

Sheffield United secured a much-needed win against Wolves last weekend, but they remain rooted to the bottom of the table. They have the worst xGA in the Premier League and have faced plenty of shots, so the signs are ominous here.

Despite their recent woes, Brighton are averaging 18.67 shots per game at the Amex Arena this season; only Liverpool have managed more shots on home turf. Since Roberto De Zerbi took the reins, his side are averaging 18.82 shots per home game. They have already faced Luton at home this season, another of the newly-promoted sides. The Seagulls had 27 attempts in that match.

Sheffield United have conceded a wealth of chances thus far. Their opponents are averaging 19.36 shots per game across their 11 Premier League matches.

  • Selection: Over 18.5 Shots For Brighton
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Chelsea vs Manchester City: Scintillating City to Pile on the Pressure

England, Premier League, Sunday, November 12th, 16:30 (UK)

The highlight of the Premier League weekend is undoubtedly Chelsea vs Manchester City. The Blues played their part in a memorable London Derby when they beat Tottenham. The win allowed Manchester City to hold onto 1st place, but Pochettino’s men will be looking to thwart City’s ambition this weekend.

Manchester City are set to contend on all fronts once again. They’ve recovered from consecutive Premier League defeats to make it five wins on the bounce in all competitions. Pep Guardiola’s side have won their last six head-to-heads with Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino has overseen steady improvement since taking over at Stamford Bridge. They are conceding 11 shots per home game in the league this season, but Manchester City have been rampant.

Manchester City are averaging 20.67 shots per Premier League away game this season. That’s five more per match than Spurs, who have had the 2nd most shots on the road. Pep Guardiola’s side had 21 shots in their last away match at Old Trafford.

  • Selection: Over 13.5 Shots For Manchester City
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10
