Houston Dynamo are four points clear of Miami. They could open up some breathing space between the two sides with a win this weekend. Houston beat Inter Miami 3-1 in their last meeting.
Inter Miami have made a slow start to the season. When they were founded in 2018 with David Beckham owning part of the franchise there were dreams of grandeur but it hasn’t worked out that way in their first few seasons as a professional football club. They finished in the middle of the table last season and the poor start to this season has put them on the back foot in the race for the playoffs.

Nashville’s start to the season has been solid if uninspiring. They have picked up 11 points so far but they will need to improve as the season rolls on if they want to challenge for the playoffs. Nashville were 2-1 victors the last time they faced LAFC.
Los Angeles FC are the reigning champions after they secured the crown in dramatic fashion last season. They are clear favourites with the bookmakers yet again but the table is congested at the top at this stage. LAFC have 17 points and are one point off the top spot. They also have a game in hand over those around them.
Nashville vs Los Angeles FC Best Bet
The bookmakers can’t split these two sides ahead of this game so they are expecting home advantage to play a part, However, Nashville lost this fixture (at home) last season 2-1. They have also failed to score in their last two home matches. Gary Smith’s are averaging less than a goal a game so far and they are taking on a rampant LAFC this weekend.
Los Angeles FC have won their last four MLS matches and they have scored three in all of them. The champions will be wary of the threat posed by Nashville after they were beaten by The Music in LA last season. LA Galaxy were narrowly beaten 3-2 by Los Angeles FC last weekend as their miserable start to the MLS campaign continued. Galaxy remain one of the biggest clubs in the division but they have picked up just three points from their opening seven matches.
Austin FC are five points ahead of Sunday night’s opponents. Austin were founded in 2018 so they are a relative newcomer to the league. However, they finished fourth and secured a palace in the playoffs last season. There is a lot of work to do if they want to reach those heights again.
