Charlotte vs Colorado Rapids Preview
Sunday, April 16th, 00:30 (UK)
Both of these sides have made poor starts to the season and they will be hoping to turn their fortunes around when they face off this weekend. They have just two wins across 14 matches between them so far this season.
Charlotte have picked up five points in their first seven matches, leaving them in 26th place in the overall MLS table. Colorado have collected one more point than Charlotte and are three places above them in the table. The lack of quality in both elevens in evident and I don’t expect to see a classic this weekend.
Charlotte vs Colorado Rapids Best Bet
The majority of Charlotte’s goals have come on the road. They are averaging just 0.33 goals per game in their home matches despite having an xG of 1.34. Christian Lattanzio’s side will continue
Colorado have struggled for goals this season. They are averaging just 0.43 per game so far. This climbs slightly to 0.5 goals per game if you only include their away matches. However, goals are definitely a cause for concern. These teams have only met once before and the game finished 0-0. This bet has landed in two of Charlotte’s three home matches. It has also landed in three of Colorado’s four away matches.
- Selection: Both Teams To Score – No
- Best Odds: 2.20 (bet365)
- Stakes: 7/10

Columbus Crew vs New England Revolution Preview
Sunday, April 16th, 00:30 (UK)
This match shouldn’t be anywhere near as drab as the first fixture. Columbus Crew have the advantage of playing at home and they could leapfrog New England in the table on goal difference should they win. The Crew are 4th in the Eastern Conference and 7th in the overall MLS table.
New England are 2nd in the Eastern Conference. They will be looking to continue their strong start to the season. Cincinnati are the only team in the MLS who have collected more points than New England at this stage.
Columbus Crew vs New England Revolution Best Bet
It’s early days but Columbus Crew’s matches have guaranteed entertainment so far. There has been at least two goals in all seven of their matches, with an average of 3.57 goals per game; this is the most in the league. The Columbus attack have been firing on all cylinders and we are going to back them to be amongst the goals again.
New England’s matches have also seen their fair share of goals. Bruce Arena’s men are scoring an average of 1.71 goals per game. They have been more resolute defensively than Saturday night’s opponents but they could well come unstuck against the division’s top scorers.
- Selection: Over 2.5 Goals
- Best Odds: 1.85 (bet365)
- Stakes: 8/10

LA Galaxy vs Los Angeles FC Preview
Sunday, April 16th, 21:30 (UK)
The final match in our preview is LAFC’s short trip to take on LA Galaxy. These sides are giants of the MLS. LAFC are the newer kid on the block in terms of this rivalry but thye have been the ones enjoying success in recent seasons. Their acquisition of Gareth Bale proved to be crucial in clinching the title last season. They look capable of going all the way again this season after a solid start.
LA Galaxy haven’t won the title since 2014 but they frequently appear in the playoffs. It was the Galaxy who put the MLS on the map when they signed David Beckham from Real Madrid. Now they face a battle to be the biggest team in Los Angeles.
LA Galaxy vs Los Angeles FC Best Bet
Both of these sides have very high corner counts so far this season. LA Galaxy have had 13 corners in both of their home matches so far. Their matches overall this season are averaging 12.57 corners per game. Only Vancouver’s matches have seen more. Expect them to rack up the corners should they fall behind here.
LAFC rank just behind the Galaxy in terms of corners. Their matches are averaging 11.33 corners per game. The league average is just 9.76 corners per game.
- Selection: Over 10 Corners
