Observers are questioning whether the team will suffer from the absence of Marcus Rashford, who was instrumental in creating United’s second goal before leaving the game due to injury. Manager Erik ten Hag is concerned about Rashford’s fitness over the next few weeks, and the forward is expected to miss Thursday’s match against Sevilla.
This is a significant blow for the Red Devils, and its impact may not be felt until the weekend’s trip to Nottingham Forest. However, Sevilla is not in the best of form this season, which could work in Manchester United’s favour.

Therefore, it’s likely that both teams will score at Old Trafford, but with the away goals rule no longer in play, a win for Manchester United would set them up well for the return leg.
